Real Daily Life with a 3-Year-Old ASD Child and a 1-Year-Old Daughter (6/16–6/22)

Thank you for visiting the page of a science-loving mom raising a 3-year-old son who still only talks a little and a 1-year-old daughter.😊

Making the family happy with a "harmonious face."

It has been three weeks since we moved. We are the Rike family, finally starting to create a "daily routine" in our new home.😌 Hello.

Well, Sunday is "this week's diary" day.
(It ended up being one day late💦)

If I were to title this past week, it would be
“The Award for Doing Your Best in a New Place🏆”.

Well then, here you go.

6/16 (Sun)
Super excited about the electric bicycle!!

Since we moved, we decided we needed a bicycle, so we went for a test ride.
(Actually, we went to buy an air conditioner, though, haha)

We put both kids on and went for a test ride!

My daughter, riding for the first time, must have mistaken it for some kind of attraction because she was squealing with joy.😂 (Apparently, kids usually cry)

We bought it right then and there. It cost 260,000 yen including everything.

(At this time, I didn't know that we didn't have a bicycle parking space, and I didn't know yet that we would fall into a hellish situation where we
could neither cancel nor receive the bike.
)

6/17 (Mon)
Daughter, off to her new nursery school!

It was the first day of the adjustment period at my daughter's unlicensed nursery school.

I took my son along to drop her off, and because we left only my daughter behind and walked out with just Mom and my son, she cried her eyes out.
Well, of course she did. I'm sorry...

But apparently, she stopped crying right away and played happily!
My daughter even waved goodbye with a smile when parting from the teacher.
How reliable she is~~☺️

6/18 (Tue)
Bye-bye with a relaxed expression!

Second day of the adjustment period. At the morning drop-off,
my daughter waved at Mom without crying at all.🐰

Yesterday, my daughter held onto her favorite blanket the whole time, but
today she was able to let go of the blanket and play! She adapts so quickly.✨

Watching her like that, I can clearly see that she enjoyed her previous nursery school and feels a sense of security toward nursery schools in general. This mother is happy.🥺

6/19 (Wed)
Moon! So amazing!

At night, my son suddenly pointed at the night sky and said,
“Moon! So amazing!”

When I looked, there was a beautiful moon in the clear night sky.

He then ran to get his picture book, opened it to the moon page without hesitation, and said,“Same!”
You're right. It's beautiful. It's the same, isn't it?

I am also moved, my son, that you have grown enough to share your wonder with words. 🥺

6/20 (Thu)
My son's hard work at his new developmental support center.

I have been carefully observing my son at the developmental support center he has been attending every day since we moved.

My son, despite having just started, is apparently working so hard that he's becoming a role model for everyone! 👏

I truly feel that we have found a wonderful support center where they understand my son's traits well and think kindly about what kind of support he needs.

It was a very happy meeting, along with seeing my son's hard work.

6/21 (Fri)
Little sister too!

When I urged my son who had just returned home, “Go wash your hands!”

He actually stood his little sister next to him and
was diligently washing her hands for her! 🌟

Such a reliable, kind big brother. ☺️
The fact that his T-shirt got covered in soap bubbles is just part of his charm (lol).

6/22 (Sat)
My son gets hooked on the roller slide.

We went to a park near our new home. It was his first time seeing a loooong roller slide. At first, he was scared and slid down with his dad,

but he soon got used to it and slid down by himself, saying,
“Look, I did it!”
“I'm not scared!”
with asmugface. 😤

He was too cute. I'm dying. (lit. nosebleed)
I've watched the video so many times that time just melted away, lol.

This is what a week in the life of a science-major mom looked like.

Thank you always, my son and my daughter.
Thank you so much for being born. Love.

And to all the noters, thank you so much for your encouragement.
Thank you very much.

I look forward to your continued support.
