How to get through the 'I only want Mommy' phase, as heard from noter users
Thank you so much for visiting the page of a science-loving mom raising a 2-year-11-month-old son who only speaks a little bit and an 8-month-old daughter 😊
To everyone who gave me advice on the article I asked for help with yesterday👇,thank you so much.
Just realizing that there are people who care and people who empathize with me has been a huge relief.
Since I also received comments saying, 'I've met many people with similar worries,'I will summarize the advice I received so that it may be helpful to those reading as well.
🌞Mom is the sun of the household!
That's why it's only natural for them to say, 'I want Mommy!'
If Mom is smiling, the children will smile too.
It really comes down to this. I received various pieces of advice, but in the end, it was all about 'what can I do to achieve ☝️'.
🙏Let's rely on everything we can!
In order for Mom to get her smile back, rely on eating out, retort baby food, support from your parents, mom friends, etc...by all means, rely on whatever you can!
I used Ito-Yokado's online supermarket for the first time during this difficult period, and I'm so moved by how convenient it is. (Until now, I was using a co-op plus a regular supermarket)
Also, yesterday, I immediatelyordered delivery for dinner!
My son was in a terrible mood after his nap, so ordering delivery really saved me.
I was able to have a slow picture book time with my son after he calmed down, and I truly feel from the bottom of my heart thatit was good that I didn't push myself to cook.
👨Capturing Dad
My husband is starting to get sulky at the constant 'I only want Mommy!' calls. I also received advice about such dads ^^
① Mom changes!
'Even if he wants to be involved with the children, he gets rejected by them'
Just because of that, if you ask if he can do housework perfectly, that's not possible for Dad (my husband does quite a lot, but the fact that he can't cook is fatal)
We tend to want to 'get him to change,' butpeople don't change.
That is precisely why Mom needs to change!!
Specifically, I received advice such as preparing meal kits so that Dad can handle it too and so on.
My husband can make things like hot pot or yakisoba, so I think it might be good to keep those kinds of things on hand.
② When you have the energy, show appreciation for Dad
I understand the feeling of feeling down or jealous when you're constantly called 'Mom! Mom!' by your child.
Since it's impossible to tell a child to 'change!', Mom is the only one who can comfort Dad's feelings.
Of course, to comfort Dad, Mom needs that much extra energy to spare.
👦 Compare a child's growth to their past
Regarding another challenge in our home, my son's development. This really boils down to 'Don't compare him to other children!!'.
Even though I know that, there are times when I still compare, but once again, I want to engrave in my heart: 'If my son is growing compared to his own past, then it's OK!'
Yesterday, my son was able to say 'Get it!' for the first time when he wanted me to get a toy for him 👍
I want to spend every day referring to the advice I received so that I can praise him with a huge smile when moments like that happen.
✨ Gratitude
Thank you so much for all the heartfelt advice you have sent my way.
Thanks to you, I am starting to regain a little bit of my energy. I am truly, truly grateful.
If there are any moms reading this who are as exhausted by parenting and housework as I am, let's get through this together 🤝
According to experienced moms, it's tough when you're in the thick of it, but looking back, it passes in a flash. It doesn't last forever.
Being needed so much with 'Mom! Mom!' is only for now.
It's tough, but I've decided that instead of just being trapped by the 'It's so hard!' feeling, I want to try to enjoy parenting like I'm 'figuring out how to beat a game' again.
I appreciate your continued support.

I have also created a Coconala page so that I can respond to requests like 'I want to change the items' or 'I want it made with illustrations of girls.' I apologize that the page is still a work in progress, but I am posting it here.
