Real Daily Life with a 3-Year-Old ASD Child and an 11-Month-Old Daughter (3/10–3/16)

Thank you for visiting the page of a science-loving mom raising a 3-year-old son who still only speaks a little and a 1-year-old daughter 😊

-coming home-
Returning to oneself, both adults and children.
Being able to be your true self.

Through no+e,
I hope to share hints for that.

Sunday is 'Weekly Diary' day.
This week's highlight is 'Daughter turns into a dog🐶'.

Well then, here you go.

3/10 (Sun)
Daughter giggles, son enjoys quietly.

We rode a train that goes around a large park.

We rode it because my son wanted to, but unexpectedly, my daughter was the one giggling and enjoying it. My son is the type who enjoys things quietly.

When I asked my son later, it seems he enjoyed today in the order of train > model train > Plarail > slide 😁

I'm really happy that I've become able to hear my son's thoughts like this by asking in various ways.

3/11 (Mon)
Daughter turns into a dog

My son throws a baby ball. My daughter chases it by crawling. When my daughter gets the ball, she returns to where my son is and says 'here you go' ⚽️🐕

When my son gets the ball, he throws it again. An infinite loop follows.

A collaboration of precious and precious. Cute. Too cute.
However, daughter, that behavior is a dog 🐕

3/12 (Tue)
No memory

To be honest, I have no memory of this day (I'm writing this on Wednesday. Even though it was just yesterday, I have absolutely no memory).

Oh, I remembered. It was the day my son fell asleep and I took a bath with my daughter. The routine was broken, and it was a tough day. I really have no memory beyond this. Good job, me.

3/13 (Wed)
Son puts daughter to sleep

While I was putting my son to sleep, my daughter woke up.

Then my son suddenly woke up, crawled over to my daughter, patted her, gave her a kiss, tucked her in, and tried to put her to sleep. (She didn't fall asleep, though.)

He's so sweet. He's sweet, but son, please go to sleep yourself.

3/14 (Thu)
Influenced by his sister, my son gives it his all

I made spinach gratin. As usual, my son avoided the vegetables and only ate the meat. However,

"Little sister ate her spinach too! Can you do your best, too?"

With that encouragement, he suddenly got motivated🔥 and ate the spinach himself! It also contained finely chopped onions, carrots, and green peppers, but he finished it all!

You did a great job🌟
Little daughter, thank you for lighting a fire under your big brother!

3/15 (Fri)
I can clean up too.

After bath time, when I was busy taking care of my daughter, I heard a voice calling "Mommy!" from the bathroom.

When I peeked in, I saw my son looking proud, having cleaned up all the toys he had been playing with.

Thank you. That helps. It really helps. Thank you🌟

3/16 (Sat)
Elephant, stomp, stomp.

Since my son has been obsessed with elephants after playing the role of an elephant in the "Elephant's Hat" play at his preschool, we went to a place where there are elephants.

He fed them, touched their trunks, and was delighted to ride an elephant instead of a horse. It seems my son enjoyed feeding them more than riding them.

While riding the elephant, my daughter looked around so much from inside the baby carrier, perhaps because she didn't understand the situation, which was hilarious🤣

(Riding an elephant was 100 times scarier than riding a horse. My son has had a fever of over 39 degrees since that night. I'm worried about whether he might have passed a cold to the animals.)

That was the week of a science-major mom.

A bonus episode from this week.

My son sleeps with his head on my arm every night, but

Lately, it's irresistibly cute how she suddenly sits up right before falling asleep, gives my cheek or forehead a kiss💋, and then goes to sleep.

Thank you so much for always coming to read my diary, which is overflowing with doting parent vibes😊

I hope you'll continue to enjoy it.
