Thank you for reaching 100 articles! The joint magazine by Tots and Oco [Recommended Notes]
Thank you for visiting. I am a science-major mom raising a 2.5-year-old son who is just starting to talk a little and a 4-month-old daughter.
Thanks to all our members, the articles in our "Joint Magazine by Tots and Oco" have reached over 100 articles 🫶
(Wow, I really felt the power of the team, as we were able to reach 100 articles in no time when working together. Thank you.)
To all the members who always add such helpful articles, really, truly... thank you so much!
Today, to commemorate reaching 100 articles, I would like to introduce some [Recommended Notes] from the magazine ✨
This is entirely based on my own personal judgment and bias, but they are all wonderful articles, so please take a look, everyone 😊
Science-major mom's recommended notes
① [Discovery! The reason they can't sit still] How children can develop a sense of time
The article was posted by Asahi / Clinical Psychologist & Certified Public Psychologist, Childcare Support, who is a parent of a child with special needs and has worked in developmental support for many years, marking our commemorative 100th article 👏
Even for children who seem restless at first glance, it is not actually that they are restless, but rather there are cases where they feel anxious because they do not understand the flow of time.
It is said that even for children who are restless, visualizing the sense of time can sometimes help them calm down.
This note introduces ideas and items for that purpose.
It is packed with ideas you'll want to copy right away, so it's a must-see for those raising children!
② Accepting yourself
This is an article by Tetsuki Mikuriya, who is a manager at a vocational transition support office for people with developmental disabilities.
Self-denial begins when you are praised. I think this is quite a deep darkness. (omitted) I think people with low self-esteem tend to do this.
This is exactly what I wrote about in " Why I, with my super-high academic background, think academic ability and IQ are ultimately irrelevant ", so it struck a chord with me while reading.
Accepting yourself as you are, without overestimating or underestimating yourself.
By reading the episode of Tetsuki Mikuriya where he achieved that, it is a wonderful article where you can learn "what it means to accept yourself."
3. To those of us diagnosed with developmental disabilities as adults.
This is an article by Yuzu @ Developmental Uneven Single Mom, who is an individual with ASD and ADHD.
Wait, I was able to go all the way to university and I thought I had lived a 'normal' life, but is my life going to change just because of this one diagnosis...?
Yuzu-san, who was diagnosed with a developmental disability as an adult, is bewildered by the fact that people around her are treating her differently than before.
It is a note that touches the heart as she struggles, realizes that 'I am still me,' and moves forward.
Gratitude to all our members
Thank you so much for posting so many educational and relatable articles. I always look forward to reading them.
Although it is irregular, I introduce recommended notes from the articles posted to this magazine in this way.
If there is an article you think 'This should definitely be shared!', please let me know and I will post it.
Finally, thank you to Asahi / Clinical Psychologist & Certified Public Psychologist, Child-rearing Support, Mikuriya Tetsuki, and Yuzu @ Developmental Uneven Single Mom for your wonderful articles. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you.
