Thinking about tips for updating no+e daily while raising a 0-year-old and a 2-year-old, as someone who wants to sleep for 8 hours.

Thank you for visiting. I am a science-major mom raising a 2-year-old and 10-month-old son who talks just a little bit, and an 8-month-old daughter.

I am in the middle of writing "How to raise children to be happy and true to themselves.", but please let me digress and think about "tips for updating no+e daily".

The reason is that, while it is true that the last two weeks have been incredibly busy, I have been feeling frustrated because "I haven't been able to update no+e as I would like to".

I want to make a fresh start and resume updating, but I know for sure that I cannot keep it up just by having the enthusiasm of "I'm going to update every day!" (lol), so this is an article where I try to "think about a system that allows me to update every day". (A style of thinking while writing lol)

⛈ Thinking about the reasons why I can't update every day

1. Too many things I want to do

There are still 24 hours in a day. However, the last two weeks have been filled with events like visiting my parents' home, attending a friend's wedding, shopping, preparing baby food in advance, preparing for the trip, doing my husband's year-end tax adjustment paperwork, and handling my son's school advancement procedures, so

I have been so busy that I've thought, "Why am I so busy even though I'm basically a full-time housewife?".

Reason why I couldn't update #1: Too many things I want to do!!

2. My daughter's sleep time has decreased

My daughter is already 8 months old. Until now, she would sleep almost the entire time my son was at kindergarten, so I had time to do housework and work on no+e, but

she has gained more stamina and the time she wants to "play together" has increased.

Reading picture books and singing songs are precious times with my daughter, but on the other hand, "the time I have to do what I want to do has decreased."

Reason why I couldn't update #2: My daughter's sleep time has decreased!!

3. Weekends are the biggest hurdle

Now, even when I was able to update every day, the biggest hurdle was "weekends".

Since we are usually out and about, I would try to update from the passenger seat of the car or after the children were asleep, but I have felt the difficulty of this for a while.

Reason why I couldn't update #3: Weekends are the biggest hurdle!!

🌞 Thinking about a strategy to update every day

1. Make updating no+e the top priority.

First, here is my weekday strategy. There are mountains of things I want to do while my son is at kindergarten.

Since I often run out of time if I think, "I'll write no+e once the housework is done," I want to update no+e first thing after dropping my son off at kindergarten.

Since I have other things I want to do, I should be able to focus and update no+e in a short amount of time as well...☝️

Strategy 1: Update no+e first after dropping my son off at kindergarten.

2. I tried deleting the YouTube app.

Among the mountains of things I want to do, the thing that wastes my time the most... is overwhelmingly YouTube!!!

Once I start watching Shorts, time flies by in an instant, and I end up thinking, "Oh no!" 🥲

So, I tried deleting the YouTube app. I feel like I read in some book that when you have a habit you want to quit, it's effective to raise the hurdle for doing it, so I'm putting that into practice.

Strategy 2: Delete the YouTube app!!

3. Fix the content for weekends.

Finally, I'll think about a strategy for the dreaded weekends.

I have conflicting desires: I want to update in the minimum amount of time on weekends, but I don't want to post low-quality content.

That's when I came up with the strategy of using templates for content to shorten work time.

  • Saturday -> Progress and improvements on the no+e daily update challenge

  • Sunday -> Weekly diary

I'd like to try updating daily with this content for now!

Strategy 3: Fix the content for weekends.

🌝 Don't cut back on sleep.

Now, I wrote in Strategy 1 that I would "make no+e the top priority," but there is something I prioritize even more than no+e. That is "sleep"!!!

I believe that sleep is the most important thing when raising children. That's because when you are sleep-deprived, there is nothing good for either parent or child.

1. Lack of sleep makes it easy to get irritable.
2. You might end up getting angry in situations where you don't need to, or becoming more emotional than necessary.
3. Unreasonable attitudes and unnecessary scolding from parents have a negative impact on a child's brain.

For these reasons, I will not sacrifice my sleep time, and I will take on the challenge of updating no+e daily.

I'll say this first: if updating no+e daily becomes too much and seems like it will have a negative impact on my children, I will stop immediately (lol). After all, my children are the most important thing.

This is a declaration of my determination to do my best without overdoing it.

I hope you'll be kind to me.

I have also created a Coconala page so that I can respond to requests such as "I want to change the items" or "I want you to make it with illustrations of girls." I apologize that the page is still a work in progress, but I will post it here.
