Graduating from the World of 'I'm Just...': 5_The Courage to Affirm Yourself and the Kindness of the World [Part 5]: A New Life That Begins by 'Forgiving' Yourself.
☕️ Morning Light and the Last Cup
The usual retro coffee shop.
I woke up a little early this morning,
and I am placing myself in the silence just after opening.
The morning sun streaming through the window,
unlike the orange of yesterday's sunset,
is casting a refreshing radiance,
as if purifying everything into pure white.
This series, which we have delivered over six parts,
finally comes to a close with this installment.
We have canceled the insurance policy for our hearts called 'self-deprecation',
climbed out of the lukewarm water,
had the courage to be embarrassed,
and continued our journey of believing in the kindness of the world.
How are you feeling as you read this text now?
Is your heart feeling just a little lighter?
Or,
is the anxiety of 'Am I really okay on my own?'
still casting a small shadow in the corner of your heart?
Even if you have anxiety, it is okay.
That very anxiety is the greatest proof
that you are about to step into the unknown territory
of a new life.
Today, I will talk deeply, very deeply, about the true meaning of the act of
**'forgiving'**
which is both the destination of this journey and the starting point of your new life,
and about the scenery that spreads out beyond it.
☕️ To 'forgive' is to 'liberate' your past self
The word 'forgive' that I have consistently conveyed in this series.
It is,
not simply 'indulging yourself'.Or, it is not about 'pretending' that past failures never happened.
To truly 'forgive' yourself means
**'to acknowledge your past self, who fought desperately to protect you until now, and to let that role come to an end.'**
The addiction of self-deprecation,
the escape of humility,
the pride that fears embarrassment, all of these were 'shields' you desperately created throughout your life so farto avoid hurting yourself.
It was because of that shield
that you were able to survive until today.
First, please say to that shield,
'Thank you, you're okay now.'
To 'forgive' yourself is to take off your heavy armor
and give yourself permission to engage with the world
with your
'bare skin',
which is who you truly are.

A word from Forgifer:
'When you take off your armor, you might feel a bit chilly and unsettled at first.
But it is with those lighter shoulders that you can truly spread your wings wide.
Those wings you've been hiding all this time—isn't it about time you showed them to me?'
☕️ Living by your own axis—breaking away from 'other people's stories'
When you become able to 'forgive' yourself,
an unwavering backbone called
**'your own axis'**
begins to run through your life.
Until now, you may have played a supporting role in
'someone else's story'so as not to be disliked by anyone,or to meet someone's expectations.
You read the room by deprecating yourself,
and secured your place in the group by wearing yourself down.
However, the moment you 'forgive' yourself, the script is rewritten.
'I like this.'
'I want to cherish this.'
'This is how I want to be.'
Such
voices from your own heart
will become surprisingly clear to hear. When you stand at your own center and begin to live by your own axis,
strangely enough, your relationships with the people around you will also change into 'high-quality ones'.
Because people who cherish themselves can also respect the boundaries of others.
From relationships of taking, to relationships of sharing. From relationships of acting, to relationships of resonating.A new life does not begin by going somewhere far away,
but by
**'returning to your own center.'**
☕️ The physics of gratitude—a way of living that anticipates the future
For you who have been able to 'forgive' yourself,
there is a habit I would like you to adopt.
It is to offer
**'gratitude'**to your future self that you have yet to see.
We usually offer gratitude after something good happens.
However,
people who actively create their own lives
offer gratitude 'before' good things happen.
'I am grateful that I am spending today peacefully and being myself.'
'I am grateful that I am blessed with wonderful encounters and am growing.'
Offering gratitude for a state you have not yet attained is an act of sending a powerful signal to your brain that 'this is my standard'.
It is the most powerful way to rewrite the old program of self-deprecationand attract a new reality.
In the morning, facing yourself in the mirror,
or before drinking a cup of coffee, please try whispering in your heart,
'Thank you for being me.'
That one phrase will fill every one of your cells with the light of self-affirmation.
☕️ An 'amulet' for when the rebound comes
Here, I will share one important reality with you.
Even if you 'forgive' yourself and start a new life,
there may be times when your 'habit of self-deprecation' shows its face again.
In a sudden moment,
you might miss the old lukewarm water,
or you might want to hide in a hole out of embarrassment.
But please do not blame yourself at those times.
There is no need to think,
'Oh, I deprecated myself again. I guess I really can't change.'
At such times, please try thinking like this:
'Oops, my old habit came out. You've worked so hard to protect me for such a long time, haven't you?'
You can just let it pass with a wry smile.
Like climbing a spiral staircase, even though it seems like we are passing through the same place,
we are actually steadily advancing to a higher level. The rebound is nothing more than a fine-tuning of the heart
that happens precisely because you are steadily moving forward.

A word from Yurusifer:
It's okay to fall down sometimes. Because,
in the place where you fell, there are sometimes
small flowers blooming that you wouldn't have
noticed while standing.
If you get mud on you,
I'll brush it off with these wings, so
let's start walking slowly again.
☕️ Spring 2026, the beginning of a new story
The time we have spent talking in this cafe
might be just a fleeting moment in the long, long story
of your life.
But that momentary realization
will become a seed that fundamentally changesthe decades to come.
With the mouth that has swallowed the words'I'm just...',
from now on, please weave the words
'I am...'.
With a compass for a new life that bundles these five stories together.
You are already
ready to open that door.
Beyond the door you open,
a world much wider and much kinder than you imagined
is waiting for you.
You have value just by existing.
Not because you achieved something, not because you were recognized by someone,
but by the very fact that you are breathing here as 'you',
the world has become one measure
richer.
Epilogue: Turning off the cafe lights
Well, it is almost closing time.
A comfortable silence has returned to the shop,
where the scent of coffee faintly lingers.
To you, who read this series to the end.
With heartfelt respect and gratitude.
The journey of 'forgiving' yourself
does not end today.
It is
a supremely luxurious habit that you will savor for a lifetime.
From tomorrow on as well,
I sincerely hope that you will be your own good understanding
and your own best ally.
May your new story
be one that shines brightly.
If you ever feel like you are losing your way,
please remember this cafe at any time.I, and Yurusifer,
are always here (inside your heart).
Now then, off you go.
Spread your new wings to your heart's content.
