[Judicial Scrivener Exam] Enjoying the 'now' more than what lies beyond passing. What I let go of during the final stretch before the exam.
The final stretch before the Judicial Scrivener exam. I spent my days calmly completing tasks, having decided each day what I would accomplish.
But before I knew it, 'getting things done' had become the goal itself. I realized that my motivation was wearing thin as I spent every day just checking off tasks.
'Why am I studying so hard?'
I paused for a moment and thought back to my original intentions. That was when it hit me.
I realized that I actually enjoyed the act of studying itself.
'Passing' might just be a bonus that comes as a result of that enjoyment. The moment I thought that, my heart felt much lighter.
I stopped finding satisfaction in study hours or the volume of tasks completed.
Instead, I focused on how much I could understand each question in front of me.
What did I understand, and what did I not?
I changed my approach to face my own knowledge directly and honestly. As I did, the 'joy of studying' that I had forgotten slowly returned to me.
When I think about it, I don't have a firm grip on the idea that 'I will definitely work as a Judicial Scrivener once I pass!' Of course, working using the qualification is one option, but to be honest, I haven't decided on anything that far ahead yet.
That is precisely why I realized that being overly obsessed with the two characters for 'passing' doesn't suit me right now.
My ideal is to be the kind of examinee who says, 'I was enjoying my studies every day, and before I knew it, I had passed.'
Of course, I am aiming to pass as my final goal.
However, rather than sacrificing the present for the sake of the future, I want to cherish the 'time I am able to learn now' more than anything else.
Precisely because this is the stormy final stretch, I want to enjoy every page and every question in front of me as if I am savoring them.
