Starting the 'Looking for Little Good Things Club 2022'!
I recently realized something while talking with students about how to shift your mood when you're feeling down.
When you're feeling down, the arrow is pointing at yourself!
If only I were... maybe this wouldn't have happenedbecause of me,
I don't want to make... feel badbecause of me,
Why is italways me...
At times like these, saying 'that's not true' doesn't really get through, does it? ^^
Instead, I found abetter way! It is,
looking for good things
When I searched for 'looking for good things' on note... this person's article appeared at the top ▼
An article from during the COVID-19 pandemic
No matter the time, good things are lying around us.
They are rolling around, overflowing.
All that's left is'I'll try to find them'—I was taught that if you have that feeling, you can find them.
Here is my true story written on note ▼
By writing on note, I feel that mysubconscious has also changed significantly. It's not visible from the outside, though ^^
But, actually... there is an evenbetter way~♪
That is...
knowing about the little good things that happen to other people
Because...
Because it gives youmore perspectivesby realizing, 'Oh, there's that way of looking at it too,'
Because you canunderstand yourself betterby feeling stirred or calm when you learn about the good things in others' lives,
Because yourself-image is already boostedby supporting the little good things in others' lives,
It's all good things! ^^
Let's get back to the conversation with the student.
When you're feeling down, thearrow is pointed inward at yourself—that was the topic, right? In other words, it's an
inward-pointing arrow.
When you look for good things, thearrow points outward from yourself.
However, there is one pitfall. That is,
trying to find 'great' good things
If you do this, the arrow that had finally pointed outward begins to point inward again.
Therefore, it's not about 'great' things, butnot 'great''little'things that are important!
That said, we are only human, after all. When you look for good things by yourself, you
tend toend upexpecting something great.
And then, because it didn't meet your expectations, you feel down again...
So, until you get used to it,let's rely on the power of others~♪
So, with that said,
