[Official Release] Breakout EA has evolved. Optimized for each currency and index!
Rick’s EA Studio Official Announcement
[6/28 Important Notice] Breakout EA has evolved into the v7.0 integrated version
Until now, Rick’s EA Studio has provided Breakout EAs optimized for each currency such as GOLD / GBPJPY / GBPUSD / EURUSD individually.
However, after repeated testing and improvements, we have integrated all currency-specific EAs and evolved into the safer and higher-performance “Breakout EA v7.0 (Integrated Version).”
The integrated version includes the following improvements:
Operates with the same logic for any symbol via automatic pips conversion
Targets only high-probability market conditions with 3-stage entry (max 3 times/day)
Eliminates counter-trend trading with M15 + H1 dual trend confirmation
Enhanced fake breakout detection
Reduced drawdown with ATR-based dynamic SL
Supports automatic NY time DST adjustment
Equipped with daily risk management (loss limits, consecutive loss limits, holiday filters)
As a result, it achieves higher stability, safety, and versatility than currency-specific EAs.

※Currency-specific EAs can still be used, but
we recommend that new users use the integrated version.
Introduction
Thank you very much for always reading the Rick’s EA Studio note.
Previously, Breakout EA was provided as a “common version,” but to more accurately reflect differences in market characteristics, we have evolved it into “dedicated models” optimized for each currency pair and index.
We have analyzed the volatility, time-of-day tendencies, and spread characteristics of each market and performed tuning to achieve more stable operation.
In this article, we will guide you through the official release of the currency-specific EA lineup and important precautions when operating multiple EAs on the same account.
Breakout EA Lineup by Currency and Index
▼ Currency Pair EAs
GOLD (XAUUSD)
USDJPY
GBPJPY
GBPUSD
EURUSD
▼ Index EAs
US100 (NASDAQ)
JPN225 (Nikkei 225)
Each EA is:
volatility
tendency for trends to emerge
time zones for range formation
spread fluctuations
impact of economic indicators
Based on these factors, they have been individually optimized.
Why we optimized by currency
Since the Breakout logic is strongly influenced by "market habits," optimizing for each currency provides the following benefits.
Reduce unnecessary entries
Suppress drawdown during adverse movements
Reflect characteristics of each time zone
Minimize the impact of spreads
Set optimal breakout widths for each currency
As a result, you can aim for more stable performance.
Important notes when running multiple EAs on the same account
Breakout EA can be run simultaneously but please note the following when operating on the same account, as they share margin.
▼ Regarding entry frequency
The currency-specific and index-specific Breakout EAs are based on carefully selected entries of about 0 to 3 times per day.
On days when market conditions are not met, ending with no trades is normal operation.
This is based on the design philosophy of Rick’s EA Studio to:
Avoid unnecessary entries
Do not enter in unfavorable market conditions
Prioritize protecting capital
as the top priority.
We hope you understand this as a solid approach to growing capital over the long term rather than short-term flashiness.
● Margin will be “competed for”
Example: In a 100,000 yen account
GOLD EA
GBPJPY EA
If you run it is effectively the same as operating with 50,000 yen per unit when run simultaneously.
If one is holding an unrealized loss and the other enters a trade, there is a possibility of insufficient margin. It is recommended to use separate accounts when running multiple currencies.
● Always lower the lot size
When running multiple EAs, it is essential to lower the lot size per unit.
100,000 yen → 1 EA is optimal
200,000 to 300,000 yen → 2 EAs
500,000 yen or more → 3 or more EAs is realistic
● Be careful with “volatile combinations” like GOLD + GBPJPY
Since GOLD, GBPJPY, and US100 have high volatility, lot adjustment is especially necessary when combining them.
● Different MagicNumbers do not interfere with each other
EAs will not misidentify each other's positions. However, you must understand that margin is shared.
● Recommended approach
Safety-first → 1 account per 1 EA
Multiple operations → Lower the lot size
High capital → Increased flexibility in combinations
