🎈Ball Pit Again‼️ A Super Chaotic Holiday with My 4-Year-Old Daughter with Down Syndrome

A holiday.
“Today of all days... let’s play peacefully...”
Quietly making that vow to myself,
I (the dad) charged into an indoor playground at a local shopping mall.

Inside, there was:

• A ball pit
• A sandbox
• A slide
• A play kitchen set
• And, a 4-year-old daughter with infinite stamina


...2 hours of playtime‼️
Whether I survive or not depends entirely on Dad’s stamina ꉂ🤣𐤔

🚀 The moment we entered, she was off and running.

“Waaaaah‼️”

Right after passing through the entrance gate,
my daughter took off in a straight line ≡≡≡ﾍ(*–)ﾉ

First, she went down the slide a few times,
and the next second, she dashed to the play kitchen set.

Dad:
“Wait, was she always that fast? Does she have teleportation powers?”

🍳 Her “cooking sense” in the play kitchen is way too unique.

My daughter is actually using the seasonings and ingredients.
Cutting, mixing, it’s amazing... she really watches and remembers everything.

...or so I, the father, was impressed.

Into the pot, she put:

• Mayonnaise
• Pepper
• Milk
• And... a cake🎂


Everything went IN.

Dad:
“...Daughter, what... is that supposed to become?”😱

Daughter:
(Smug face) “Dinner!”

...Right. Of course.

🦀 The sandbox turns into an ocean world

The sandbox transforms into the ocean with projection mapping!

A world where fish, crabs, and sometimes even whales swim leisurely.

My daughter chased the crabs,

🐚 Daughter: “Crab~ wait for me~‼️”
🦀 Crab: *scuttles away*

But when a whale appeared...

🐳 “...Goooo...”
Daughter: “⁉️😱 Scary~‼️‼️”

She fled at lightning speed.
You’d never guess she was just hunting down crabs like a pro a second ago ꉂ🤣𐤔

🎾 And then it started... the mysterious ball pit battle

The stage moved to the ball pit.

Dad:
“Alright‼️ It’s on‼️🔥”
(*Dad doesn’t even know what the competition is)

I threw a ball while she was looking the other way ( ͜○ ･ω･) ͜○
Daughter: “Ouch⁉️”
She turned around.

Dad immediately destroyed the evidence and kept a straight face 😏

I launched a storm of balls the moment she slid down (っ’ヮ’)╮
A ball shower the moment she landed‼️

My daughter is giggling, but
I’m pretty sure I’m the one having more fun.

🏃‍♂️ Escapes and traps

Getting carried away, I
fled to the top of the slide when she came after me.

The moment she reached the top, I stood next to her,

Dad: “Ready, set, GO‼️💥”

My daughter didn’t slide.
“Hey wait⁉️”
Only Dad fell down.

My daughter’s revenge was activatedッ‼️ꉂ🤣𐤔

When I looked back, she was beaming from above.
And finally, she gave me a proper ball shower in return.

My daughter... you’ve grown up... 😏✨️ (I lost)

🌈 In closing

Those two hours,
my stamina was reduced to almost zero,
(even though I run around every week for futsal practice and matches💦)

Laughing, running, and shouting,
it was the best holiday seeing my daughter “enjoying herself to the fullest.”

Let’s go again, ball pit.
