A Recommendation for Comfortable 'Collusion'
I imagine not many people have a positive image when they hear the word 'collusion'.
Every time we hear it in the news, it brings to mind a shady scene of people whispering in a closed room, lining their own pockets.
However, if you trace the original meaning of the word, it simply means 'to stick together'.
In terms of human relationships, it is nothing more than snuggling up to someone and having a strong bond.
In modern times, under the banners of self-reliance and the era of the individual, a clean way of life that depends on no one is celebrated, but that can sometimes feel terribly stifling.
I believe that if you find someone you are comfortable with, you should be able to 'collude' with them openly.
If your values align, it is far more natural and human to conveniently stick together and help each other out.
Rather than forcing yourself to bear loneliness, increasing the number of warm, good relationships you have will provide a more reliable support system.
If the other person's attitude changes and that relationship starts to cause you pain, then you can just peel yourself away without hesitation.
It might leave a little bit of a mark, but it is much healthier than clinging to a connection you know is wrong.
Before you put on airs of self-reliance and tense your shoulders, are you currently 'comfortably colluding' with anyone?
