What is a paradox?
A statement or expression that seems absurd or contradictory, but upon closer inspection, contains a grain of truth. Alternatively, a phenomenon where one arrives at a contradictory conclusion despite starting from correct premises and seemingly sound logic. In Japanese, it is often translated as 'gyakusetsu' (paradox) or 'gyakuri' (counter-logic).
The theme this time is the wonderful contradiction.
Even so, people fall in love with someone.

"Paradox" is a song born from the feeling that people live within contradictions.
The more you seek freedom, the more you are bound by something.
It is precisely because there is the limitation of gravity that people can stand on the earth and move freely.
The more light overflows, the deeper the shadows become.
This world is made of contradictions.
But what I wanted to express in this song is that contradictions are not mistakes.
Because there is an end, people can love the beginning.
Because there is loneliness, we feel warmth.
Because there is pain, we can become kind.
If there were never any loss, I don't think love would have been this beautiful.
"Existence is to fade away, time is to lose."
I put the meaning of living itself into these words.
People will inevitably fade away.
Time changes everything.
Even so, people try to love someone.
I thought that the act itself might be the greatest paradox in the universe.
There is no answer in this song.
Just as the words "Not an answer / Keep asking" say, I want to affirm the act of continuing to ask questions.
I wrote the lyrics with that feeling.
Why were people born?
Why do people love?
Why are people lonely?
The answer to that is surely something no one knows.
But even without knowing, we seek someone, and even without knowing, we search for hope.
I think that is what it means to be human.
This love is a paradox.
