Even though I'm just sitting with a cat on my lap
Through connections on note, new collaborative music is born.
The lyrics are poet Qio's "Eternity exists for the sake of a single moment".
I learned about Qio through my "Song of a Year" collaborator, Tokko. I wrote about how that happened here.
When the Vocaloid demo for this "Shore of Tomorrow" was completed, I made a request to Qio.
I told them that if they had any lyrics they were considering setting to music, I would love to be the one to do it.
Qio agreed immediately, and before long, the poem "Eternity exists for the sake of a single moment" was sent to me.
"Eternity exists for the sake of a single moment" has a message that speaks to the heart, and I thought it could become a full-fledged ballad.
For the time being, I wanted to make a Vocaloid demo and then have someone sing it, so I asked Qio if they had anyone in mind. They suggested that RoRo might be willing to sing it, so I had RoRo listen to the demo first and then asked them formally.
I didn't know RoRo, but I learned that they are active on note in a wide range of fields, including poetry, essays, novels, and music.
Also, I heard that RoRo plays the piano, so I had the selfish thought of asking them to play the piano as well, and decided to make it a piano-accompanied ballad.
The demo is already finished and is published here.
I had RoRo listen to this demo, and when I formally asked for a collaboration, they kindly accepted.
I think I will be able to release the completed version in the not-too-distant future.

I've been feeling it especially lately, but I think my creative world is expanding more and more through my connections on note.
The other day, in an email exchange with Tokko, I said something like this.
I am currently working on my second collaboration with Qio, and I plan to have RoRo, a fellow poet introduced to me by Qio, sing it.
I feel like my world is expanding more and more through my connection with Tokko.
Even though I'm just sitting with a cat on my lap, the world is expanding ^^
I have nothing but gratitude for Tokko!
Then, in their reply, they had written a poem.
And what's more, my own words were quoted in it!
Or rather, a part of the text I wrote was placed at the beginning of the poem.
Even though I'm just sitting
with a cat on my lap The world is expanding
I received permission from Tokko to set it to music, so I think I will be able to introduce a new collaboration soon.
Actually, the song is already finished, but it's better for Tokko to publish the poem first.
The song is a vocalise (a song with vowels and no lyrics) that I created previously, which I have now set to the poem, and it worked out surprisingly well.
I feel like that vocalise was waiting for Tokko's poem.
I must be connected to Tokko by fate from a past life. ^^

It's not on my lap, but on my crossed legs, though.
