Even though I have wished to 'live in my own way'—

'I want to live in my own way.'

Things I like? Things I'm good at? Things that feel comfortable?
I thought the real me existed at the end of collecting those things.

But—
The more I searched, the more I felt like 'myself' was drifting away.

Living someone else's dream

Before I knew it, I was also
a 'kind person,'
a 'correct person,'
a 'hardworking person,'
playing the role of a 'me' that was convenient for someone else.

But in truth,
even though I was supposed to be living 'in my own way,'
I might have just been living 'someone else's dream.'

Chasing 'being myself' too much,
I had lost sight of myself.

That realization descended upon me quietly one day.

Ringing out and living were the same thing

Then, at one point—
the moment I stood in a certain place, something beyond words
'rang out within me.'

For some reason, tears fell.
For some reason, I couldn't stop.
Even though I hadn't done anything particularly well, I could simply feel that I was 'alive.'

In that moment,
'being myself' didn't matter anymore—

I just rang out.
That was the real me.

And from that moment on, the world changed little by little.

When I rang my own sound,
the world gently responded.

'Being yourself' might be
a transparent resonance that only appears when you ring outI thought.
It is not something to search for,

but something that appears as a result when you have rung out.
