How to Find Your Mission: Not 'Wanting to Burn,' but When 'the Sound You Make Begins to Burn'

I don't know 'how to find my mission'.
But if you want to start something, if you want to live out your own sound—
if you have that 'feeling that doesn't have a name yet'—
there might be a hint in that.
In this article, we will rethink the mission not as something to 'search for,' but as
a phenomenon where 'the sound you make begins to burn', and we will explore the gateway to that together.

“I don't know what my mission is—”
If you feel that way, perhaps you are already very close to it.

I've done self-analysis.
I've tried fortune-telling and personality tests.
But in the end, I still can't find 'what I should be doing'.

That is surely not because 'there is no answer' within you,

but simply because 'no sound has rung out yet,' or
it has rung out, but you just haven't 'noticed it'.

When you 'search' for a mission, it drifts further away

When we hear the word 'mission,' we tend to go looking for some correct answer outside of ourselves,
like 'what I should do,' 'my dream,' or 'my talent'.

But perhaps a true mission
is not something that can be defined in that way.

First, 'a sound rings out'.
After that, over time, 'meaning' begins to emerge.
If you get this order wrong, your confusion will only deepen.

Just 'wanting to burn' isn't enough to reach it

'I want to burn'
'I want passion'
'I want to find something worth doing'

—wishing for those things is wonderful in itself.
But,it becomes painful because you are trying to burn while 'nothing has rung out yet'.

For the soul to ring out means
the epicenter of a heart that has suddenly been shaken.
For example,

• Tears that cannot be put into words

• A sense of discomfort that you just couldn't shake

• The moment someone's words struck you deeply

Such a 'momentary tremor' might be the beginning of your true mission.

A mission is 'something that is named after the fact.'

People who left their names in history did not necessarily know their mission clearly from the start.

A mission is something that when the sound that has rung out begins to burn quietly, receives its name after the fact.

Rather than deciding 'this is my mission' beforehand,
what 'rang out within you on its own' is
much closer to the truth.

A 'mission' told to you by someone else has no epicenter.

Fortune-telling, diagnostics, and appraisals.
Of course, these can be hints.

But—
something someone else guessed for you will never become your mission.

A true mission can only be encountered
on a journey of 'going to listen to your own sound yourself.'.

Even if you try to live according to 'who you are' as decided by someone else,
if there is no 'tremor of the soul' there, it will only end as a search for the right answer.

To you, who are ringing.

Within you,
there may be a 'sound' that has not yet been named.

It might be an emotion.
It might be a sense of discomfort.
Or perhaps, tears that flowed for some reason.
