Mission and Destiny.

Though both seem like a "reason for living,"
the difference between them has always been vague.

A mission is a path you choose yourself.
Destiny is a sound that rings out before you even have a chance to choose.

When you redefine it in that way,

life quietly begins to shift
from a "stage of searching for meaning"
to a "stage of living by the sound that has already rung out."

The sign that the game is over

"I've worked so hard, so why do I feel so empty?"

That was the sign that the game was over.

Setting goals.
Formulating strategies.
Putting in the effort.

I achieved results, was recognized, and was praised.

And yet,

I suddenly burn out.
My heart feels hollow.

"If I keep going like this, will anything ever resonate?"

Even though I should be fulfilling my mission,
I feel like a character being controlled from somewhere else.

Before I knew it,
perhaps I had become too accustomed to the mode of living just to clear the game.

The Strategy of Mission

A mission harbors will.

“How I want to be,”
“What I want to live for.”

Turning wishes into goals,
and fulfilling them through effort.

That is a noble path.
A proud process.

But along the way,

there is a moment when something not on the map
suddenly rises up.

It is neither a goal nor a choice.

From somewhere much deeper,
something like a wordless sound
quietly begins to resonate.

Destiny emerges beyond mission.

If mission is a “way of living,”
destiny is a “way of being.”

What is a way of being?

It is not will.
It is not a model to follow.

It was simply a sound.

It is the true self that emerges
after passing through the question of “how I want to be.”

It is not the answer to the question.

Then, was the question of mission in vain?

That is not the case.

It was precisely because of the mission
that the preparation for destiny to resonate was completed.

And along the path of your mission,

The moment you think, "This isn't resonating."

That misalignment becomes the epicenter, and
a sound begins to ring out.

Mission is the structure.
Destiny is the epicenter.

When the trembling begins,

The goal of the game shifts from "clearing it" to
"resonance."

Even if you try to make it ring, it won't ring.

When you hear that destiny is a sound,

You end up thinking, "How can I make it ring?"

But that is wrong.

Destiny is not a sound you make by trying to make it ring.

Even if you wish for it.
Even if you plan for it.
Even if you strive for it.

There are still sounds that do not reach.

The days that didn't go well.
The nights you stood frozen.
The times that didn't go as planned.

Within all that, an epicenter was quietly growing.

Therefore,

Even for those who are not ringing now,
there is a preparation that can only happen by living through the time of silence.

That stillness
calls forth the next moment when you finally ring.

The self that had 'already become'

A mission is something you try to reach through effort.

But Tenmei is,

not an ideal you obtain through effort.

The moment you suddenly accept that sound,
it simply appears.

A sound that had already been ringing.

That is the form of the self that had already become.

Tenmei is not something you understand through explanation.

It is a sound you 'remember' by thinking,
'Ah, this might be it.'

If somewhere in this article,
the depths of your heart trembled.

That tremor,
might be the start sound of the next game.
