Nice to meet you. I am Michiyo Sakamoto.

My nickname is Ririka.
In my work, some people also call me "Ririka-sensei."

I preside over Office RE-RICCA,
where I support those who want to cultivate the experience and expertise they have accumulated into a career that is uniquely their own.

You have experience and expertise.
Yet, it doesn't lead to work.

The people who come to me for consultation
are not people who have nothing.

• They have worked diligently until now

• They have experience in making others happy with those skills

• They have qualifications and specialized knowledge

Some already have products or services,
or are posting on social media or note.

However,

• "I'm doing various things like social media, but it doesn't lead to work"

• "I can't explain my strengths well"

• "I have products and I post, but they are all disconnected"

• "The more I learn, the less I know where to start"

It is not uncommon for people to be in such a state.

It is not that you lack effort.

It is not that you lack talent.

It is just that what you have accumulated so far
has not yet connected into a single career.

I am a person who connects scattered things.

If I were to describe my work in one word,

To organize what is already within a person,
and connect it to a form that can be cultivated into work that is uniquely theirs.

…is what I believe.

• Past experience

• Things people have appreciated

• Things you are good at

• Values you cherish

• People you want to help

• What you can offer

• Products and services

And, profiles, messaging, websites, social media, note, and newsletters.

Even if you have each of these,
if they are all pointing in different directions,
it becomes difficult to connect them to work.

Therefore,
while looking together at the things scattered in your mind,

• What to value

• Who you want to help and what kind of change you want to deliver to them

• Which experiences to utilize

• What to turn into a product

• What words to use to convey it

• How to connect everything from your messaging to the application process

We will organize these one by one.

I do not simply apply
generic marketing templates as they are.

Even if it looks like people are doing the same job,
the paths they have walked,
the things they value,
and the work they want to cultivate in the future
are different for everyone.

Instead of fitting a person into someone else's success story,
I build a work style based on what that person already possesses.

That is my job.

AI and the Web are not the main characters.

Consultations often

• start with things like "I want to be able to use AI,"

• "I want to create a website,"

• "I want to turn social media into inquiries,"

• "I want to polish my profile,"

and so on.

Of course,
AI, websites, and social media
are all important tools that support your work.

However,
simply adding more tools
will not cultivate a work style that is uniquely yours.

What is truly important is

• what you value,

• whose life you want to improve and in what way,

• and how you want to apply your past experience to the future.

It is about thinking through these things in your own words,
and becoming able to deliver them to those who need them.

Instead of having AI think of everything for you,
you learn to think for yourself while using AI.

Instead of just finishing a website,
you learn to nurture it yourself.

Instead of constantly asking for the "correct answer" for your outreach,
you become able to make your own judgments.

I use AI and the Web to achieve that.

I have been working in education since 1995.

I began my career as a PC instructor in 1995.

Since before the internet was as accessible as it is today, I have been teaching the use of computers and the Web at universities, vocational schools, and corporate training sessions.

I have instructed over 5,000 people to date.
In individual coaching support, I have worked with over 400 people.

Computers, the internet, websites, blogs, social media, video, and now AI.

The tools I use have changed significantly with the times.

However, in the more than 30 years I have been teaching,
there is something that has not changed.

It is that people cannot take action just by receiving a lot of information.

1. Understanding what was previously unclear.

2. Connecting things that were scattered.

3. Seeing the order in which to proceed.

4. Feeling that 'I can do this too.'

Only then can a person
take a step forward under their own power.

That is why I
do not convey difficult things in a difficult way.

I do not list technical jargon,
nor do I teach in a way where only those who already understand can move forward.

I translate information into words that the person can understand,
use for themselves,
and organize into a sequence where they can actually take action.

Just because it is for beginners,
does not mean I dilute the content.

Instead of lowering the standard of the content, I lower the steps to understanding it.

I believe that is my role.

Even if my tone is gentle, I will not be vague.

I value creating a space where you can speak with peace of mind.

In our sessions, we might laugh or
have a little casual conversation.

Even if your thoughts aren't organized yet,
or you can't explain things well, it's okay.

Because as you talk,
things will gradually become clearer.

However, being able to speak with peace of mind
is not the same as simply affirming everything.

I will communicate what is necessary carefully and frankly.

• Things you don't need to do right now

• Things you should organize first

• Things that will lead to a detour if done that way

• Strengths you haven't noticed yet

I will speak clearly about what is necessary
to grow your work together, without being vague.

A place where you can not only feel at ease, but also feel safe enough to be serious.

I want Office RE-RICCA to be that kind of place.

Having you rely on me forever is not the goal.

What I am aiming for
is not for clients to rely on me indefinitely.

It is for you to eventually be able to think of new projects yourself,
express them in your own words, deliver them to those who need them,
and be able to grow your work with your own strength.

Even when you encounter things you don't understand,
instead of immediately looking for someone else's answer,
I want you to be able to think and judge for yourself.

Of course, work and life have their milestones.

• When you want to start something new

• When you feel like re-evaluating your direction

• When it becomes difficult to make decisions on your own

At times like those,
I want this to be a place where you can always return with peace of mind.

And, someday,

“I’m starting a project like this soon.”

“I’d love for you to come, too.”

When you say that to me,
I will be sending applause from the audience, not from the stage.

I am looking forward to that kind of future.

What I write about in this note

In this note,
I mainly write focusing on the following three themes.

1. Creating work in your own words

2. Communication and pathways to be chosen without hard selling

3. Using AI and the Web in your own way

I don’t want this to be a place that only writes about practical know-how.

• About words

• About learning

• Things I feel as I get older

• Things I’ve thought about in my work and relationships with people

• Things from the past that I remembered while looking at new technology

I also write essays like that.

Because I believe that work and communication are inseparable from one's way of life.

Explaining specialized topics in words that beginners can understand.
Not teaching from a position of superiority, but from a distance where we can think together.

“Let me try a little more”
“It’s not too late to start now”

I cannot decide someone else's life or work for them.

However, I can look together with you at what you have accumulated so far, organize what is scattered, find the direction to move in, and make that first step a manageable size.

Before adding something new,
re-examine what you already have.

Before trying harder, try aligning the direction you are heading.

From there,
work that is uniquely yours can begin.
