Creative Progress Log 97 | How a Creative Burnout-Prone Person Boosts Their Energy

This is the 97th installment of my creative progress log, summarizing my progress over the past week.

I took a break from updating last time due to the pain of tendonitis.
I was surprised to get tendonitis after so long...

Those who follow Katsuya's activities might know, but Katsuya periodically suffers from arm pain due to tendonitis.
I suspect this time is just part of that cycle.

……However, honestly, I have no idea what the cause is.

Usually, there's an obvious cause, like working on a manuscript too much or playing too many games.
But this time, I just don't know the cause.

Of course, I was working on my manuscript and playing games.
But I wasn't doing it for long enough to get tendonitis, and lately, I've actually been reading more than playing games, so I shouldn't have been putting that much strain on my hands.

It's frustrating not knowing the cause because I can't take any countermeasures...
For now, it has calmed down quite a bit, so I will be careful not to do tasks that require using my hands for long periods.
I really wonder what that pain last week was all about.

With that said, here is the creative progress report for the past two weeks.

[Progress Detail 1] Production Status of the Weather Duo Epilogue

This is the progress on the epilogue for the new work 'The Eye of the Typhoon is Sunny' (abbreviated: Weather Duo), which I distributed at Paper Well 16.progress on the epilogueis.

The manuscript itself is finished, and all that remains is proofreading and creating the BOOTH page .
I even finished the cover.
The cover got done before the content. Huh?

In the first place, I was actually planning to do the proofreading within these two weeks.
But when I started, I ended up revising instead of proofreading.
In the end, I reached today without being able to proofread. Who was the one who said they weren't going to mess with the content? I messed with it quite a bit. I'm such an idiot.

For now, I plan to do the proofreading as much as time allows after posting this article today.
Will I actually be able to release the epilogue within June... (shaky voice)

If it hasn't been released, please assume that's what happened.

Of course, I do feel like, 'What are you doing when your manuscript progress is questionable?'

But you know, my energy just won't go up at all...
I think it's partly because I'm genuinely tired, but more than that, the atmospheric pressure is definitely a big factor.
My whole body feels sluggish today because a typhoon is coming.

Please stop the weather from being bad every time I'm working on something for the Weather Duo~~~~~~~.
My head feels heavy and I'm in trouble~~~~~~~~~~~ (crying)

That said, I think this kind of play is necessary from time to time to boost my spirits.
As a hardcore self-creator, being able to recharge just by incorporating play related to my own work is very cost-effective and helpful (lol).
Everyone, this is how a hardcore self-creator recharges. It's self-generation.

People need to play sometimes.
Especially if it's something you love doing.

[Progress Details ③] Work: Progress on my novel feedback service

Progress on the feedback service.

First, regarding the request that has been ongoing since the week before last.
The feedback has been successfully delivered, and the communication is complete!
I think this was a job that gave me, Katsuya, a lot to think about and learn from.
Through the work and the feedback, it was a valuable experience that made me think about various things as a creator myself.
Thank you for choosing me for this request!

Meanwhile, one new request has come in.
I am currently in the middle of discussing the detailed request content. Once everything is decided, I plan to enter the schedule into the calendar.

Lately, I've been able to talk about my feedback service work every week, and it's very gratifying to know that I'm receiving continuous requests. Big, beaming smile.

That concludes the progress for the past two weeks.

Even though it's for two weeks, I ended up working in fits and starts due to tendonitis, so I don't think I got a lot done.
Looking back on it, I feel like the amount of work was about the same as usual.

Well, it's not good to push yourself to work when you're hurting your arm, right?
I'm sure I'm only able to continue both my creative work and my job because I'm healthy.
Thinking about my future activities, I'm proud of myself for being able to take proper breaks!
