The time I got soaked by an American shower knob

While staying with my host family during my study abroad, I fell into my first-ever "shower knob trap."
It was just like a prank scene from a movie 😆

I thought it would be used normally, but the way to use it was completely different. It was a classic overseas experience.

"Usually, you turn it to the right to get water, right?"
I turned the knob with a Japanese mindset... Nothing happened.
I turned it left. Pushed it. Pulled it. ...No reaction no matter what I did.
"Wait... is this broken!?" I just panicked.

The moment my hand slipped, the knob tilted sideways with a "clunk"... and a ton of cold water poured down from above!!!

Even though it was miserable at the time, it's the best funny story now 😆

Living while thinking, "Tilt it? Where did this idea even come from!?" is also part of the thrill of studying abroad.
