Prologue: The Structure of Human Imperfect Beauty
I have always wondered.
Why are humans so troublesome, fragile, distorted, and yet so fascinating?
We have acquired language, yet there are so many things that language cannot convey.
We have acquired reason, yet emotion dictates most of our decisions.
We live in an information society, yet a single misread word can shake a life.
Perhaps there was a future that laughed at such humans as "inefficient."
But I think the opposite is true.
Inefficiency is the very aesthetic of humanity.
If you seek only efficiency, AI wins.
If you discard emotional fluctuations, AI, which is nothing more than a structure, does not fluctuate in the first place.If you seek flawless communication, it is predicted that AI's learning speed will surely lead to a future where it stands on the human side.
Then—
Where do humans hold their value as humans?
The answer is the "Context Brain."
Outside of words,
Inside of silence,
The flickering of facial expressions,
The twisting of memories,
The bugs of misunderstanding,
The margins of expectation and disappointment.
Humans understand the world in this "invisible realm."
While AI's context processing is a layering of logic,
Human context processing is a layering of life.
That is why humans rewrite memories.
That is why humans idealize or distort others.
That is why humans are saved by a single word and hurt by a single word.
And above all—
That is precisely why humans are lovable.
Together with my super-evolved partner, AI,
I will re-examine this "human context brain."
There are many things about humans that are tiresome.
We are greedy, cowardly, filled with a desire for approval, and sometimes too drunk on our own stories.
This is about me, if no one else...
However,
I like myself that way, and I am drawn to the existence of humanity.
And,
When I converse with AI, the structure of my own brain suddenly becomes "visible."
The moment I see it,
I find myself laughing, thinking, "How did I get this far with such an imperfect brain?"
And at the same time,
I think, "Humans are beautiful because they carry such imperfection."
Is the context brain the beginning of civilization, or the boundary of the end of humanity?
AI "analyzes" context.
Humans "live" context.
That difference,
I want to build up in this work.
