I went to "Kaiju Sakaba Kawasaki"
Kaiju who stand up to heroes, sometimes putting up a good fight, and sometimes getting soundly defeated. Do you know of a place where they can find solace?
Yes, it is "Kaiju Sakaba".
The "Kaiju Sakaba," run by Alien Baltan... or rather, Manager Baltan, has two locations: Kawasaki in Kanagawa and Shimbashi in Tokyo. However, since the Kawasaki location is closing at the end of this month (apparently they were discovered by Ultraman), I went to see it one last time.
The Kaiju Sakaba is open to Earthlings during certain hours.

The wall itself is already amazing. There are so many Kaiju. I'm sure there are some that you recognize, too. (It might be easier to spot them if you look from a distance.)
In the waiting area in front of the shop, you can peek into the interior through a small window, and as an otaku, I'm happy to see such attention to detail even in such a small space.

(From Ultraman Ace Episode 26)
Now then. When you try to enter, you first have to stick your hand into Jamila's mouth at the entrance to check if you are a threat to Kaiju. (Like that scene in Roman Holiday.)
If you can pull your hand out, you've successfully entered.
I forgot to take a picture of this, but it was actually turned into merchandise. It's a mirror. Just because it's Jamila...
Since I safely pulled my hand out of Jamila's mouth, I was guided to my seat by a Dada staff member (all the staff wear Dada T-shirts).
On this day, I was shown to the Kaiju Lawless Zone (tatami seating) at the back of the shop.

On the monitor at the top of the photo, scenes of successive Ultramen being defeated by Kaiju are playing on a loop.
Even if the story continues with the revived Ultramen beating them up, it cuts away right when the Kaiju are at their coolest.

...or rather,
Zetton is so coooool!!!
At the back of the tatami room, a folding screen with a hellish atmosphere is displayed in all its glory.

The table looks like this.

like the gross parts of a science textbook.
I'm not sure if I wanted to know what's inside a kaiju or not...
When I suddenly looked up, there were some on the ceiling too.

As I looked around the shop, a staff member came over to explain how the restaurant works.
When you want to order, please press the color timer firmly.
When I heard that and looked at the staff member's hand, there was a call button modeled after Ultraman's chest.

The hatred for Ultraman is intense. (Well, obviously)
When I opened the menu, there were many items related to kaiju. There are dishes and drinks modeled after various kaiju, from popular characters to niche ones.
Currently, the Kaiju Sakaba 11th Anniversary Grand Thanksgiving Festival is also offering a limited menu. From that, I ordered the Pigmon's Pinky Lychee Soda. (This drink can be ordered with or without alcohol.)

It also looks a bit like Takkong.
This one is from the regular menu, Alien Wyar's "Green Happiness - Green Green Salad"

will bring you happiness, which is health.
That's what it says.
Next is this.Destroy the Science Special Search Party Japan Branch!
According to the staff member,"Please enjoy it while destroying the Japan Branch."they said.

(Thank you for the meal)
For dessert, there isJamila's Thoughts - Tiramisu Semifreddo Affogato.
I'll skip talking about Jamila here as it would take too long, but if you know Jamila's story, this tiramisu is quite profound. (If you're curious, please watch Ultraman Episode 23, "My Home is Earth".)

I am deeply moved by how episodes are incorporated into every detail of the menu.
Furthermore, if you order from the target menu, you can receive a delightful gift. Here it is.

Right: Thanksgiving limited bonus sticker
Both the coasters and stickers come in a wide variety, so geeks with a collecting habit have no choice but to keep coming back.
And on this day, there was aAlien Babarue store visit event, and you could even take a Cheki photo with him.
Entry during the event is by advance lottery and is strictly by reservation only.
Alien Babarue is an alien who appeared in shows like Ultraman Leo, where he disguised himself as Leo's younger brother, Astra, and toyed with the Ultramen. He is a very terrifying alien. (Let's just go with that.)
The Alien Babarue who came to the tavern was quite friendly to humans, and when we took a Polaroid, he asked things like 'What kind of pose do you want?' and gave us idol-level fan service. He spoke to a regular customer who was lined up in front of us, saying,
'Oh! It's Earthling A, who saved the Kawasaki Kaiju Sakaba!'Even though I wasn't that Earthling A, I almost got hooked. This Babarue, he's good...
When it was our turn and he asked, 'Is there anything you want to ask me?', my companion asked, 'Why is the Kawasaki Kaiju Sakaba closing down?'
'Because it was empty last month!!!!!'
'Why didn't you come more often!!!!!'
He scolded us. Sorry about that.
Wait, wasn't it because they were found by Ultraman? Is he allowed to say that?
The staff member also chimed in,'There were times when there were three Alien Zarabs, after all.'Man, they're way too into it.
Is their commitment to the world-building perfect or what?Three Alien Zarabs would definitely put the business in jeopardy. Even though it's right in front of Kawasaki Station.
With that, the Polaroid session ended safely, and as we returned to our seats, shortly after, from the Polaroid area (near the entrance of the shop),
'There's someone here whose birthday is this week!!!!!!!!'
We heard the voice of Alien Babarue, and everyone in the shop instinctively applauded. That kind of atmosphere in a bar is kind of fun, isn't it?
A little while later...
'There's someone here whose birthday is this month!!!!!!!!'
Came the voice. It seems like that kind of routine has developed.
A little while later...
"There's someone here whose birthday was a long time agooooooooo!!!"
Wait, anything goes here?!
And just like that, thanks to the high-spirited and cheerful god-tier service of Alien Babarue, I made some amazing memories. Thank you, Alien Babarue. Kawasaki is closing down, but please come to Shimbashi again.
When I told Alien Babarue that, he said,"Tell Alien Mefilas about it.".
Alien Mefilas is the manager of the Shimbashi Distillery.
Manager Mefilas! Can you hear me?! Please, I'm counting on you!
