Bread and Pelicans

The memo function on my smartphone is very convenient.
I find it extremely useful when I need to take a quick note.

While I was casually scrolling through my past memos, I found one strange entry.

Bread... Pelican...

What should I do? I have absolutely no memory of this.

And what's truly terrifying is that it really says nothing else.

I can't find any common ground between bread and pelicans, and if I was trying to attempt a rap, the rhyming is lackluster. Actually, the word choice is just too mysterious, and that's an issue even before we get to the rhyming.

Did a pelican come by with a slice of bread in its beak?
No, no, it's not like a duck showing up carrying green onions.

I've had a dream about being attacked by a pelican, but bread didn't make an appearance...

Back then, I escaped the pelican only to run into a massive swarm of hornets and get absolutely pummeled; it was a nightmare... truly adding insult to injury...
(This is just a dream, of course. I'd be dead if it were real.)

Come to think of it, I might not have eaten plain bread in years.
I eat sandwiches, but I haven't eaten just a plain slice of bread.

Now that I think about it, I don't have a toaster at home. If I'm going to eat bread, I'd want to butter it and toast it, so I'd have to buy a toaster first.

And so, the hurdle to eating bread keeps getting higher...

Pelicans. The sound of the word is cute, but am I the only one who thinks they're actually quite scary?
If their beak pouch (I'm not sure if that's the right term) is expanded, it's not so bad, but when it's deflated, aren't they just birds with huge beaks?
