Be easy on others, be easy on yourself, and live a sweet life!
I've been feeling under the weather for a while!!
It's Naoto. I'm an Aries!
I'm sorry to those I've inconvenienced.
I'm now perfectly, completely, and totally back to health!!!
I'm in the mood to eat ramen, curry, yakiniku, omurice, sushi, shabu-shabu,
and katsudon and carbonara! All at the same time!!!
I love the red carbonara at Popolamama. (What am I even talking about?)
Honestly, I always get sick when the seasons change, but
I forget that every single time.
Every year, like it's the first time,
I feel sad at the end of summer,
I feel lonely in the autumn breeze,
and I get sick, and that's how autumn starts for me.
Even at 31, I still can't learn.
I'm sure I'll be surprised by the winter cold again, too.
(Someone please reach out to me when winter comes.
Tell me: 'It's getting cold and the seasons are changing, so stay home and take it easy!')
Oh right, what I wanted to write about today is,
“The body and mind are connected”
that.
Hmm, that sounds a bit too universal.
But I know this is important.
When I'm not feeling well, I tend to think negative thoughts.
When I'm sleep-deprived, I get stuck in a loop of negative emotions,
and when I'm hungry, I get irritable, don't I?
Don't you?
Just like how I feel the seasons are new every year (is that just me?),
I tend to forget that when I'm not feeling well.
“Oh... I haven't written a note.”
“I have to comment, I have to leave a like.”
“I have to reply.”
I haven't done anything...
Something like that.
No, maybe this is just my normal routine; for an HSP,
this might be a piece of cake!!
When I'm not feeling well, it goes even further than that.
“Ah, I haven't done the housework.”
“Come to think of it, I wonder what that person thought of what I said.”
“That's right, I have to book that by next week!”
and so on...
I tend to focus only on what I haven't done and what I need to do.
(If you're the same, let's have some tea together. Tully's would be great!!! Oh, but maybe a cafe I don't usually go to would be nice too.)
Even if you're thinking about the same things as usual,
don't you sometimes feel more gloomy and down than usual?
That's probably just because you're not feeling well.
Or maybe you're sleepy, or hungry.
Or maybe you're hot, or cold. Or itchy!
When I look at children, I think it's so easy to understand.
Like the intensity of their 'no-no' mode when they're sleepy!!!
Adults get into 'no-no' mode too, you know.
Children and adults are the same.
That's how we're built.
(There's a yoga pose called Happy Baby, and it's my absolute favorite! It really is happy. There's also Child's Pose, which is nice—oops, getting off track. I want everyone to do yoga—oops, off track again.)
But reason gets in the way,
and we think 'no-no' mode is bad!!!
We think we have to do something about it.
And we do that unconsciously, just like breathing.
Like, I have to do this, I have to do that,
I haven't done this, I haven't done that!...
And what happens then is...
'In the end, this is what happens'
'Oh, I did it again'
'I can't do anything...'
And we end up self-denying.
We fall into self-loathing.
I'm also very good at self-loathing, so I often play by blaming myself!
I often play by blaming myself!
That's such a weird way to put it!!!!
But since it's a day where I'm writing in a flow, I won't correct it! (Well, I always do that, though.)
So, yes,
Today's main topic.
An important story.
If you ever feel like you're about to self-deny,
or fall into self-loathing, or if you've failed at something, been scolded,
or had something unpleasant happen, here is a little magic spell I use.
Just for today, as a special treat, I'll write it down here.
"Blaming something else"
This is it.
Long live externalizing blame!!!
It's not your fault.
Don't blame yourself.
To be specific about how to use it:
"It's the change of seasons!"
"It's autumn's fault!"
"It's the Earth's fault!"
"It's because there's no food in front of me!"
"It's because I'm sleepy!"
"It's the night's fault!"
"It's the scent of the osmanthus!"
You blame things like that.
(Self-blame seems to be the standard in Japan right now, though...)
It's not your fault!
You can just decide that it happened because you weren't feeling well, or blame it on the change of seasons or autumn.
Doesn't that make your heart feel a little lighter?
Ah... I've done it again...
If you fall into a negative loop like that,
"Wait a minute!"
"If I think about this calmly, isn't it just the season's fault?"
Just like that, even if it's a stretch,
break that negative loop once!
This is actually quite effective.
Try it the next time you find yourself in a negative loop, just for the sake of argument.
It's okay if it's a stretch.
If you start thinking about how you should have managed your health better or gotten better nutrition,
there's no end to it, so
for now, just blame it on the Earth.
And there's a trick to this, or rather, something super important:
That is
"Blaming something else"(other than a person)
Yes,blame something other than a person.
Because if you blame others, it can lead to various negative loops stemming from anger toward them.
Well, sometimes that happens!! But then it is what it is.
And, well, when you master it like I have (smug face)
No matter what happens
I just leave it all to the Earth, saying,
“Ah, this is the Earth's fault, isn't it.”
I don't know, it's like being a researcher or a hermit or something,
with that kind of cool, sophisticated vibe.
“Ah... could this be...”
(The pause here is important)
“Yeah, this is it, it's the Earth's fault...”
Something like that.
Like a doctor.
Yeah, yeah, this is the Earth's fault, so for now, just eat well and sleep well!
Something like that.
Even when I break a dish,
“Ah... this is probably the Earth's fault... if it weren't for gravity, it wouldn't have fallen.”
That kind of feeling.
Even when I'm feeling under the weather, can't wash the dishes, and the sink starts to smell (right now)
“Ah, this is also the Earth's fault, if the humidity wasn't so high, it would probably be fine~”
That kind of feeling.
I've said all this, but
I think this method has its own compatibility,
so I think there are people it won't suit.
“Naoto, you seem to be having fun,”
you can just look at it like that. No, wait, I don't want that.
Because I think if you can stop self-negation, no matter the method,
you can go anywhere,
so it's fine to blame anyone, and it's fine not to be understood, but
“Just don't stop cherishing yourself.”
That's what I think.
It's okay to be a narcissist.
You love yourself, don't you?
Aren't you cherishing yourself too much?
You can just ignore all those voices.
Cherishing yourself, loving yourself,
I feel like that is always the foundation.
Well, I mean, I'm like that too,
there are times when I let my guard down and end up blaming myself again,
but now, I've become relatively good at cutting that off cleanly.
I blame it on the Earth,
and then after that, I just take it easy.
I watch things like Winnie the Pooh intently.
Oh, also, personally, I recommend Pingu. And, what was that other one?
What was it?
Wallace and Gromit!!!
Yes, that's good too~.
It's good to just relax and break the negative loop.
Especially when you're not feeling well, even more so.
(If you have any recommendations for anime, dramas, movies, YouTube, or music that are good for relaxing, please let me know~!!)
Everyone, please take care of your health during the change of seasons 😢
If you're not feeling well and start feeling a bit sad,
try saying, "Ah, it's the Earth's fault."
and see how that feels.
If the sadness still doesn't subside,
try saying, "It's Naoto's fault!"
and see how that feels.
(I'm a person, after all...)
I'll share in your sadness!!!
You haven't done anything wrong, you know.
In reality, no one is at fault, though.
(Earth, thank you, always!)
It's okay, you are wonderful!!
Important!
Most important of all!
More than anyone or anything else, you are the most important!!!
Blame it on something, slack off, give up, worry,
no matter how many days or years pass, it's okay!
You can always come back someday, you know.
Even if you can't get up right now,
if you can get up tomorrow, or next month, or next year, or sometime further down the road,
I think that's just fine.
That's what I think.
Let's be kind to ourselves🍰
Be kind to others, be kind to yourself, and live a sweet life!
