詳報】青学大が2度目の3連覇、箱根駅伝初　「黒田頼み」から進化

　102回東京箱根間往復大学駅伝競走（箱根駅伝）は3日、神奈川・芦ノ湖から東京・大手町までの復路（5区間、109・6キロ）があり、往路優勝の青山学院大がそのまま首位を譲らずに逃げ切り、10時間37分34秒（速報値）の大会新で3年連続9度目の総合優勝を果たした。史上初の2度目の3連覇。昨年マークした大会記録を3分45秒更新した。

[Detailed Report] Aoyama Gakuin University Wins Third Straight Victory for Second Time, Evolving from the First "Kuroda Reliance" at the Hakone Ekiden

The 102nd Tokyo-Hakone Round-Trip College Ekiden Race (Hakone Ekiden) was held on the 3rd, covering the return leg (5 hours, 109.6 km) from Lake Ashi in Kanagawa to Otemachi in Tokyo. Aoyama Gakuin University, winner of the first leg, held on to victory, finishing in 10 hours, 37 minutes, and 34 seconds (preliminary estimate), taking the overall victory for the third consecutive year and the ninth time overall. This marks the first time in history that the team has won three consecutive times. They also improved their previous record set last year by 3 minutes and 45 seconds.

「国際化社会になるにあたって、日本人のアイデンティティの拠り所の1つとして歌舞伎を役立てて欲しい」[16]との思いから、青山学院大学文学部客員教授[17]や早稲田大学特命教授[18]を務めるなど、大学教育の場で歌舞伎を通した日本文化の啓蒙・教育活動に熱心に取り組み、文化庁文化審議会委員として日本文化発展を願う立場から積極的に発言を行っていた。また、長男：海老蔵と共に歌舞伎の海外公演にも積極的に取り組んでいた。
Believing that "As we become an internationalized society, I want Kabuki to serve as one of the bases for identifying Japanese people"[16], he was appointed a visiting professor at the Faculty of Letters, Aoyama Gakuin University[17] and a special professor at Waseda University[18], and was actively involved in promoting and educating Japanese culture through Kabuki in university education. He also actively spoke out from the standpoint of wishing for the development of Japanese culture as a member of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Council for Cultural Affairs.
