欧州委員会は2026年7月10日、MetaのFacebookとInstagramが「依存を促す設計」を適切に評価・軽減していないとして、デジタルサービス法（DSA）違反との暫定見解を示した。無限スクロールや動画の自動再生を初期状態で無効にし、利用を中断させる仕組みを強め、推薦システムをエンゲージメント偏重から改めるよう求めている。まだ最終決定ではない。それでも今回の認定は、利用者や保護者に管理を委ねる従来の安全策では足りず、サービスを開いた瞬間から働く設計をMeta自身が変えるべきだという判断を明確にした。
On July 10, 2026, the European Commission issued a preliminary finding that Meta’s Facebook and Instagram violated the Digital Services Act (DSA) by failing to adequately assess and mitigate "addictive design" features. The Commission is calling for measures such as disabling infinite scrolling and auto-play videos by default, strengthening mechanisms to interrupt usage, and revising recommendation systems to move away from an over-reliance on engagement. While this is not yet a final decision, the finding clearly signals that traditional safety measures—which leave control in the hands of users or parents—are insufficient; instead, Meta must alter the very design of its services to address the issue from the moment a user opens the app.

【Design Concept】

Even though the rainy season hasn't ended yet, the sunlight feels just like midsummer. Today’s arrangement features a collaboration between sunflowers and hydrangeas—a symbol of the rainy season. I chose lemon-colored sunflowers to give the arrangement a refreshing touch.
