バンド感を大事にしつつ

■ポップな曲にしたかった

──『Next Chapter EP』というタイトルはてっきりストレイテナーにとっての次の章という意味なのかと思いきや、8月に配信リリースした表題曲を聴いたら、我々全員で次の章を目指そうという大きな曲でした。

ホリエ：そうですね。歌詞から「Next Chapter」というタイトルを付けて、今回のEPのタイトルにもしました。

While still retaining a strong band feel,

■ we aimed for a pop song.

──I thought the title "Next Chapter EP" might have had the connotation of Straightener's next chapter, and when I listened to the title track, which was digitally released in August, it was a powerful song filled with the feelings of all the members as they forge ahead toward the next chapter.

The man who made this guitar, Freedom, came to yesterday's live show.

Apparently, he sometimes gets requests from individuals and music stores who want a guitar in the same color. However, since the color has a special meaning for him, he always turns them down.

I was so happy. After all, it's the color of my cat.
