which unfortunately has long been stigmatized as a typical one of the most unexpected utterances in daily spoken English.

However, isn’t this kind of statement a mere echo of others―perhaps?

What’s more, isn’t it possibly just a unilateral blanket opinion?



With this awareness of the issue, we will be executing “factor decomposition” as follows in pursuit of acquiring a more penetrating vision to locate the latent problems involved:

↑これって、「こんな英文、現実にはまず口にしないだろう！」って、したり顔で烙印を押されちゃうことの多い典型的な文ですよね。

だけど、こうした発言をする人って、ひょっとして受け売りで言ってませんか？

また、よくよく考えてみると、どうもこの種の発言というのは一方的で判で押したような物言いである気がしてなりません。

この点をこれからいくつかの要因に分けて考えてみたいと思っています。

　　要因分析：〈想像力〉〈有用性〉〈文法〉〈発音〉

以上の要因に分けた上で、明日から一つずつ検討をしてゆきたいと思います。

pick out: 日本語ではよく「（話題として）ピックアップする」という言い方をしますが、英語でこれに相当する表現は「pick out」です。「pick up」だと、ただ単に「（物理的に）拾い上げる」となってしまうことが多いのです。

stigmatize A as B: AにBという烙印を押してしまう

a mere echo of others: 他でもない、他人（ひと）の意見の受け売り

a unilateral blanket opinion: 一方的で、かつ画一的な/判で押したような/誰もが唱えそうな/猫も杓子も唱えるような物言い/見解（blanket opinion: 一斉・一律の見解）

execute 〜 : (格式語)〜を遂行する、実行する (≒ perform 〜)

factor decomposition: 要因分析/因子分解/関与ファクターの特定 (≒ factorization)

in pursuit of acquiring a more penetrating vision to locate the latent problems involved: このことに潜在/伏在している問題点を突き止め、もっと確かな洞察を得る目的で
