The despair of a morning when your child has a fever, I totally get it😭
When I read blogs, I often see posts from working moms saying,
My child has a fever...
I see articles like that.
I mean, really,
I totally get it~😭
I read those while clutching my smartphone.
While worrying about my child,
What should I do about the doctor?
What should I do about work?
Can I take the day off?
I have to call the office...
My brain is running at full speed from the morning.
I haven't even had my coffee yet🤣
Besides, when children are small, these things happen so often.
It always happens on the day of a family trip we were looking forward to,
Are you... running a fever?
Things like that happen too.
Not today, please don't do this to me😭
Right?
The hotel is already booked.
The bags are already packed.
The kids are looking forward to it, too.
And yet,
everything gets canceled😭
The family trip plans changed to a day at the hospital.
That feeling of despair is just indescribable🤣
Looking back now, I can laugh about it, but at the time, it wasn't funny at all.
"I was like that 20 years ago, too..."
I think to myself as I read a working mom's blog.
Taking care of the house, the kids, and work.
Carrying it all, somehow managing to keep everything running every day.
I was so desperate at the time that I didn't even realize how hard I was working, but
now I realize it.
Moms raising children are really doing their best!!👏
Now my children are grown up and working adults.
Looking back,
the child-rearing period was truly tough...
But strangely enough, once it's over, it feels like it went by in a flash.
So, to all the working moms doing their best right now,
"You're doing more than enough~😭"
I want to tell you that.
There are many moms raising children at my workplace too, so I want to be as considerate as I can.
I was on the receiving end of that help in the past.
Now, I hope I can be on the side that helps, even if just a little.
Thinking about that, I'm reminiscing about my own child-rearing days,
as a slightly older auntie who's been there before😊
By the way, if it were now...
If my child got a fever the day before a trip,
I might just think, 'Well, this is a forced rest from God.'
I might be able to think that way now🤣
And, there are more dads working hard at raising children too, aren't there?☺️
▼We had to cancel because of the child's fever, but I really wanted to visit the Oga Peninsula😅
