Today, we held a summer-exclusive event where we played board games and ate every flavor of Baskin Robbins ice cream!

Impressions
We ate all the Baskin Robbins flavors!
We ordered 32 items across 29 flavors via Uber!
We all ate them during the lunch break♪
It had been a while since I last had them. Yeah, they're delicious 😋
Plus, since there were 17 of us,
we were able to share all the flavors for about 500 yen per person.
At first, everyone ate one of their favorite flavors, and then we shared the remaining 15!
We played a ton of board games!
Total event time was 8 hours!
That was a long one, wasn't it?
I was wondering what would happen since we were doing it for that long for the first time,
but as expected, everyone looked tired in the second half, haha.
It was simply double the usual time, so it was quite long!
Since we had so much time, we also played games that require more focus than usual, like It's a Wonderful World!
Introducing games I thought were interesting!
KITES
This is a game brought by one of our facilitators.
KITES is a real-time cooperative board game themed around flying kites. Players work together as a team to manage six colored hourglasses representing "kites," ensuring none of them run out of sand. On your turn, you play a card from your hand and flip the corresponding colored hourglass to keep the kite in the air. The key is to quickly take turns while constantly monitoring the status of the hourglasses and communicating with each other. If you mistime it, the kite crashes and it's game over. It's a party game that is exciting, fast-paced, and relies on tense teamwork.
I helped by flipping the hourglasses.
Managing the red hourglass set to 30 seconds was hectic and difficult, haha.
At first, while I was paying attention to the other colors, the red hourglass ran out and we didn't clear the game.
By about the third try, everyone seemed to get the hang of how to play, and we managed to clear it! 🥳
It was fun watching everyone panic because they were running out of time! ☺️
Mapputatsu Ton Soul 2
Mapputatsu Ton Soul 2 is a cooperative board game themed around "finding your partner from a past life." Players act as souls who have lived separate lives and try to find their "destined partner" through word hints.
If you play with an odd number of people, there is a "single" person (someone without a partner), which causes confusion and is hilarious 🤣
I was playing a different game in another group, but it sounded so lively that I thought I was glad I bought it!
Codenames
We played this at the very end with about 9 people.
Codenames is a word-based board game played in two teams. Each team's spymaster gives hints to help their teammates guess their team's words from the 25 words laid out on the table. However, if you pick the "assassin," you lose immediately! It's a party game that tests deduction and creativity, where word choice and team coordination are key.
The spymaster has to think of the hints, so it's the hardest role!
If the blue team goes first,
the blue team has 9 words to guess, and the red team has 8 words to guess,
and halfway through,
the score was Blue Team: Red Team = 8:5,
so the red team was at a huge disadvantage, but the final hint from the red team was excellent,
they guessed 3 cards at once, and the red team made a comeback victory!
That was so exciting~
In closing
Events where you easily eat every flavor of something are fun!
They look great and you get to taste a variety of things, so I'd like to include more of these in the future.
The next "eat every flavor" project will be "donuts" 🍩
We will be eating donuts at the board game event on 8/30 from 13:00 to 17:00!
Since about 10 people have already signed up,
