Reading 'Beloved Things: Forests, Mountain Cabins, and Everyday Tools'

Above all, the photographs are wonderful (there are many included). I think the impression of this book would have been completely different without them. The photos give persuasive power to Ito Ogawa's writing about the joys of her life in the forest (though, of course, the difficult aspects are also written about).
It was also great that Ito's desire to cherish nature is written about throughout the book. It is amazing that she puts it into practice. It made me think that I should at least try to cherish the things I own.
I found a lovely cafe the other day. The photo was taken there.
