The Recovery Phase of Autonomic Ataxia: The Importance of Knowing 'Where You Are Now' 🌿 ~Started stand.fm~
I developed this condition last year, and it has now been about a year since I began my recovery.
Last year, I couldn't even set a goal.
That is precisely why I feel that being able to have 'realistic goals' now is a major step forward for me 🌿

My goal right now is
to be able to go about my daily life without any issues.
To be able to go shopping or keep appointments without my health taking a major turn for the worse.
Reaching a state where I can go about my daily life with peace of mind is
my current goal.
And, rather than jumping straight back into work,
I hope to gradually get used to things through light social participation.
Beyond that, I am thinking of going to collect the unemployment benefits for which I have applied for an extension,
and hope to gradually aim for a return to society 🌿
With this illness, I feel that
“objectively knowing where you are right now” is very important.
By calmly grasping what you can and cannot do,
you can prevent overexertion.
I feel that if you push yourself during the recovery phase or try to return to your original life too quickly, you might be fine at the time, but you could end up crashing later on.
Therefore, I feel that
rather than 'rushing back to my old life',
“living as a new version of myself” is important.
The previous me was someone who pushed themselves until they broke their health.
Instead of rushing back to the same environment or situation,
I have started to have an image of living again
as a new self who does not push too hard.
Last year, when I was bedridden,
I thought 'restarting work quickly' was the goal.
But now, my thinking has gradually shifted to a realistic goal: first, stabilize my daily life.
Work comes after that.
This doesn't mean aiming for perfect health; after all, people get sick sometimes as long as they are alive.
Women, in particular, are influenced by their monthly cycles.
I feel that 'a state where you can live without being trapped by autonomic ataxia' is what true recovery is.
I want this recovery period to be the last one in my life.
Without rushing, while valuing where I am right now,
I want to keep moving forward 🌿
~A notice from here on~
I suddenly remembered that someone once complimented my voice at work.
That was the trigger for me to think,
could I convey something not just through writing, but also through my voice? 🌿
I heard that stand.fm allows you to broadcast like a radio, so I took the plunge and started on May 6th ☺️
Then, people immediately pressed the 'like' button,
and there were several people who also followed my note, which made me very happy 🌸
My update frequency will likely be slow,
but thank you to those who immediately followed me on stand.fm as well 😌
(I hope this message reaches you 💌)
*The ♡ and comments on note are also very encouraging 🌿😌
There is also a ♡ like function on the stand.fm side, so please take a look if you'd like ☺️
