Actually, after taking a look at their latest financial report (10-Q)—the first one released since they became a public company—it turns out they have undergone a 'shocking transformation' that is completely different from the public image.

1. 94% of revenue comes from 'telecommunications' and 'AI'! Are rockets just a 'side hustle'?
When you watch the news, there’s always a big fuss about 'another rocket launch!', but in reality, the majority of the money SpaceX earns does not come from rocket launch fees.
About 94% of their revenue comes from 'recurring service fees' like 'Starlink (telecommunications)' which delivers high-speed internet from space, and cutting-edge 'AI and cloud services'.recurring service fees.
In other words, the rocket business has evolved into a position like an 'in-house trucking company' used to transport their own communication networks and AI infrastructure into space.
2. Is the '$500 million loss' a lie!? It’s actually a 530 billion yen profit machine
If you look only at the very bottom of the financial statement, it says '$541 million in losses (a huge deficit!)'. General news outlets that see this report that 'space business is not profitable after all'.
However, there is a big trick here.
They are simply accounting for the costs of expensive satellites and servers purchased in the past as expenses over time (depreciation), andit does not mean that cash is actually disappearing from their vault.
When you recalculate their true 'cash-generating power,' it turns out they are an ultra-class cash machine that generated an overwhelming profit (cash) of approximately 530 billion yen in just three months.
3. Merging with 'xAI' behind the scenes and splurging 2.4 trillion yen on AI infrastructure!
Furthermore, they have already teamed up with Elon Musk's AI company 'xAI' behind the scenes, and in just three months, they have made a crazy capital investment of approximately 2.4 trillion yen ($15.8 billion) to buy up NVIDIA GPUs and power infrastructure on Earth.
They are no longer a 'space startup'.
