How about a candy apple for your trick-or-treat daily life? [RaM's Weekend Beauty]
Hello. This is RaM.
On the weekend after surviving a turbulent daily life, I want to be a girl.
The time for weekend beauty has arrived, spent to make that wish come true.
This is the time when RaM, who doesn't really care much about beauty, remembers that she is a girl (a regular event for the week of collecting 'what are you talking about' stories).
So, this week's foot nail design turned out like this~.
I'll soften them up a bit.
This time, I used a lot of colors.
Red, brown, pink, and gold.
I'm not good at gradient nails and am currently practicing, but the finish this time is still not quite there.
I really want to make the gradient look more natural.
Actually, when I first started painting these nails, I was in a bit of a tired mode.
So, I was thinking of doing a relaxing, mellow design, and I had applied a very light pink glitter color as a base for everything.
Going in for a close-up photo again.
And yet...
Why did it turn out like this...? lol
When I was editing the photo, I noticed some smudges,
so I touched them up.
(I didn't retake the photo, that's how lazy I am.)
Maybe because Halloween 🎃 is coming up, the information popping up on my smartphone is all about Disney Halloween.
And so, I caught sight of some villain characters (the antagonists that appear in stories).
I was racking my brain wondering if there was any material I could use for a nail design, and I found it!
Snow White.
The beautiful and kind-hearted Snow White. Threatened by her stepmother, the Queen, who is jealous of her beauty, Snow White flees deep into the forest and meets seven dwarfs—Dopey, Sleepy, Sneezy, Bashful, Happy, Doc, and Grumpy—and begins living with them. One day, the Queen, disguised as an old woman, visits and Snow White eats a poisoned apple. A prince appears to the dwarfs who are grieving beside the sleeping Snow White...
I remembered the poisoned apple held by the witch in Snow White, but when I looked up poisoned apples, they weren't a very cute color.
By shifting my perspective to make them look like candy apples instead, I decided on this foot nail design.
Yeah, it was quite a challenge.
I felt like I would be overwhelmed if I only used intense colors, so I tried to balance it out.
I did quite a lot of layering this time, and it took time for each layer to dry.
But if you don't let them dry thoroughly, it leads to smudging later on, so I had no choice but to wait...
I realized once again that simple painting is easier and better.
Well then.
I wonder what color I should walk with next.
