Bullet Train / AwA AwA

Since member Yuki-kun is from Tokushima, the choreography includes the 'Awa Odori' dance, and the song is packed with various 'awa' (bubbles/foam) related to the title, such as 'bubbles,' 'OUR,' and 'HOUR.'

It's described as a 'positive song about overcoming the impossible game called life together,' and that 'impossible game' metaphor feels very Bullet Train-esque to me.😄

The part that sticks in your ears is the 'loss loss song' part, but I have to be careful not to listen to just that part too much, or I might attract losses!😅

A friend who only knows a little about Bullet Train asked me, 'This song came up on TikTok, is this a Da-iCE song?' and I was so surprised!
Since Hanamura-san from Da-iCE participated in the song's production, I guess it really does have that Da-iCE vibe to it~

Yuuri / Curtain Call

The opening theme for the anime 'My Hero Academia.'
The up-tempo melody and Yuuri's powerful vocals give me energy and courage♪
'Let's go, it's the best'
'Let's go hundreds, thousands of times, at full throttle'
The way the rhymes are used is also great, and I find myself humming along to it.😁

I personally thought these lyrics were wonderful.^^

ME:I / Hi-Five

With the theme of "The Hottest Summer Ever," the music video is filled with things that make you feel summer, like the ocean, festival stalls, and lemonade🍋
This summer was incredibly hot, but listening to this song really boosted my energy and made me feel a bit refreshed (lol).

Also, ME:I's official character "ME:EYE" appears a lot, and there's a part near the end where it dances with the members~🐈
I'm a cat lover, so I just kept thinking how cute it was while watching the MV♡

ONE N' ONLY / SAVIOR

The opening theme song for the drama "Minor: We, the Immature, Are Progressing Clumsily," which stars member Kenshin as a co-lead.

I also love their song "Fiesta," which was released in 2024 and is super cool and intense, but I didn't realize ONE N' ONLY could pull off this kind of ephemeral vibe too, so I keep it on repeat😊

In the MV, the scene where Kenshin pours a plastic bottle of water over his head links to the drama, and the final

lyric makes me think that for "Hirukawa," played by Kenshin, it's "Minase," played by Junmasa Motojima, and for "Minase," it's "Hirukawa"☺

Hiroto Mori / Gunjou Nikki (Ultramarine Diary)

Insert song for the drama "My Diary."
It's a song that makes you feel warmth and think, "I'll do my best again tomorrow!"♪

I posted an article about My Diary before, but I really loved its gentle and warm worldview!

In the final episode, there was a scene where "Hiromi," played by Hayato Sano, writes a letter to "Yuki," played by Kaya Kiyohara, and this song played at the perfect moment...! It was so moving😂

Little Glee Monster / Break out of your bubble

Theme song for the NHK drama "Sora Wataru Kyoushitsu (The Classroom That Crosses the Sky)."
I heard that Toranosuke Kobayashi, who played the starting catcher in Gekokujo Kyuji, was in it, so I watched it, and I was moved by seeing students of various ages and backgrounds working hard toward their goals; it's a drama that really supports you😉

And the timing of this song playing in the drama is always perfect!
Plus, as you get to know the teacher and all the students, you realize how much this song links to them, and it really feels like it fits the drama perfectly.

Zarame / First of all, from today

Theme song for the drama 'Munou no Taka'.
As you can tell by now, I really love drama theme songs, don't I? lol

I loved the characters in 'Munou no Taka' because they were all so full of personality! 🤩
It's also interesting that everyone's name contains a 'bird' name 🐦

I think it's the perfect song for someone taking a new step forward with its positive lyrics!
Also, listening to this song makes me want to cherish being myself, and it seems like it would boost my self-esteem 👍

Marcy / Present

With its gentle singing voice and melody, it's so pleasant to listen to that I've been playing it on repeat ♪
It really warms my heart 😌
It's a song that makes me think, 'I want to have a wonderful love like this where we both care for each other,' and I feel like couples would feel happy listening to this song together 💛

I personally love these lyrics 😍

This isn't limited to just boyfriends and girlfriends, but I don't think there are any meaningless encounters, so I believe that all encounters are not coincidences, but that we are brought together because it is necessary ^^

Novelbright / Ivy

It's said that this song was written to celebrate the marriage of Shimon Okura and Michopa.
I heard the music video was also made using footage from their actual wedding 😉
So the title is 'Ivy' because the flower language is 'eternal love'!
It's a song that makes you feel happy when you listen to it 👰

I usually use 'Welcome home' and 'I'm home' without thinking, but I realized once again that being able to say these words to each other is a very happy thing 😄

Mrs. GREEN APPLE / familie

CM song for the new Honda FREED.
I can't just pick one song like 'Lilac' from Mrs. GREEN APPLE!
I really liked this song and listened to it often too☆
Every time it plays in the commercial, I think, 'Oh, that's good!'😄

It has many car-related elements like 'wheels,' 'fuel,' and 'backseat windows'🚙
Also, since it's 'the city carried by me,' the music video where the scenery changes without the location moving is wonderful too😊

■ Conclusion

How was it?

Just like the first half edition, I picked out songs released in the second half of 2024 that I simply wanted to recommend, and it ended up being exactly 10 songs (lol).

My goal for 2024 was to listen to many artists I had never heard before!
According to 'Spotify Wrapped,' I listened to 200 artists this year and played 550 songs😲
I've been looking forward to this 'Spotify Wrapped' every year since 2019, and it's interesting to see how the songs I listen to change quite a bit!
(Like having a band phase, a K-POP phase, etc., haha)
