[My First Note] Self-Introduction: The War Diary of a 25-Year-Old Who Went Bald and Is Now Fighting to Protect His Hair Roots as a Father of Three
🔹At 25, I went bald.
To be precise,
it was more like, "Before I knew it, it had already started."
I am 31 now.
I have a family of five: my wife and three children.
In my family, my father also had thinning hair.
So, honestly, I had always felt the possibility of it being genetic somewhere in the back of my mind.
But back then, I thought to myself,
"I'll probably be fine."
My face and hair texture were similar to my mother's,
and I was still in my early 20s.
I thought going bald was something that would happen much later.
However, I did have a strange feeling.
🔸The reality that had progressed by the time I noticed
When I was about 23,
I saw a photo where my bangs were lifted by the wind and thought,
"Huh, have I started looking old?"
but at the time,
I just dismissed it as my imagination.
Two years later,
by the time I turned 25,
that feeling changed to,
"My forehead is getting wider."
I used to wear my bangs down, but since they started looking a bit sparse, I began exposing my forehead.

Moreover,
"The shine from the lights became noticeable."
A few months later,
when I dried my hair after a bath,
the front part of my head was clearly thinning.
I still remember that moment.
I was horrified, thinking,
"Wait, has it progressed this much?"
Honestly, I didn't really feel like my hair loss had increased.
It wasn't like there were piles of hair on my pillow.
But it was definitely "decreasing."
I think that's the scary part.
By the time you notice it, it has already progressed.
🔹This is me when I was at my baldest.

This photo is of me
during the time I least wanted to be seen.
Back then,
I hated looking in the mirror, hated windy days, and hated photos and hair salons.
I seriously considered shaving my head.
🔸The reality of being bald that I felt through my best friend's reaction
From there, things gradually changed.
• My hair became harder to style
• The number of times I looked in the mirror increased
• I started to dislike being in photos
And the hardest part was
"how others saw me."
When I brought up the topic of my thinning hair to a best friend I hadn't seen in 10 years,
he told me,
"Honestly, I didn't know if I should mention it."
Ah, so it really was that obvious.
But on the other hand,
something else happened.
A junior colleague three years younger than me joined the workplace.
That kid had thinning hair from the front to the crown.
But he had cleanly shaved his head.
When I saw that, I thought,
"There is someone so close to me who is losing their hair, and he's even younger than me."
I'm sure he had struggled with it in his own way, but there was also a sense that he had clearly given up.
Even though we were struggling with the same thing,
I realized how different our approaches were.
It became a catalyst for me to become more positive about my thinning hair.
🔹And what I have been trying for the past 6 years
From there, I researched on my own,
tried things, failed, and tried again.
Honestly, it wasn't an easy path.
Ordering expensive hair growth products late at night,
counting the number of fallen hairs every day,
living a life of emotional ups and downs.
But through that, I have learned something little by little.
It is that
"Hair is just a result."
The condition of the scalp,
lifestyle habits,
stress,
blood flow,
unless that "foundation" changes,
nothing will change no matter what you do.🔥
Conversely,
if the foundation changes, change will happen.
I have actually
tried various things for 6 years,
and now,
I still can't say it's "completely cured," but
"it is definitely changing."
I have reached a state where I can say that.😭
🔸Current photo

And
at 31, I have returned to this point.
Of course, it hasn't returned to perfection.
But I no longer have the despair I felt at 25.
And above all, the biggest thing is that I can now understand the feelings of those who are struggling in the same way, and it hurts to know it. 👌
In this note, I will write realistically about what I have verified, including:
・Things I actually did that I felt were effective
・Things that, honestly, were meaningless
・The essence I discovered while continuing the process
I will write about what I have verified in a realistic way.
"Thank you so much for reading this far."
If you are currently, just like I was at 25,
searching on your smartphone late at night for
"AGA"
"Hair growth products"
"Do they really work?"
If you are repeating those searches,
there is an article I want you to read first.
That is, 'The day I first used Minoxidil.'
That day, what was even greater than my expectations was
the immense fear that "I might really be finished." 😭
It is the most realistic record I wrote back then, without hiding anything.
If you'd like,
please read my story from here. 😁
For those who are worried that their hair is thinning just like I was,
I would be happy if this could be even a little bit of hope for you.
If you 'like' or follow me, it will reach my hair follicles and serve as encouragement (hage-mi) for me! 🔥🔥
