[Lilac Cup] Character BGM 6 "Refreshing Feeling" -Original Song-

I'm Ques, and I was in charge of the BGM for the opening video of the Lilac Cup, which starts accepting submissions on 3/25. It's a fun video with a story-like structure.
...Though this opening text was a copy-paste, it's finally only 2 days away! I'm sure many of you are looking forward to the start of submissions ^^

This is a tie-up project with character designer Kuya-san, where we decided to create character BGM for everyone appearing in this story, and we will be releasing and introducing them one by one. There are only 2 more to go. The header image is a masterpiece by the Lilac Cup host, rira-san.

The 6th one is "Kati-kun," the "Spirit of the Wind."Kati-kun.

Kati-kun, who is the most free-spirited and appears anytime, anywhere wrapped in a refreshing breeze, is right in the middle of the handsome category. Is that a look of envy from the short S-kun!?

He has an image of someone who doesn't get caught up in anyone else's thoughts and sticks to being himself. Even though he's free-spirited, he keeps a close eye on his friends and will swoop in to help.

When it comes to the wind, rather than a drifting kite, it's more like dashing coolly through the blue sky, I suppose.

When I thought about how to express that in music, the opening melody came to me quite quickly. For the chord progression, I wanted to express the feeling of freshness, and for the end of the melody phrase, I wanted to express the image of flying around freely, but still coming back through the chords. So, I made it quite freely as well (lol).

That said, just between us (though there's nowhere else to talk about it), the drums (percussion) and bass were replaced from the original plan. Originally, it was an electric bass and a live drum set, but somehow the refreshing route didn't match my image, so I went for an electric feel. I left only the acoustic guitar in there. As a result, I think it turned out quite refreshing.

Actually, I was planning to release them with more time in between, but
"Let's run through to the opening of the Lilac Cup!"
was the decision, so the final one, P-kun, will be released tomorrow.

While I was releasing the pictures and songs like this, it seems Kuya-san has been drawing a few extra pictures, and these are... really good!
Kati-kun, even though he's handsome... no, he is handsome, but... (lol)
