It's wonderful, but it's got a lot of personality.
Hello, I'm Pururu.
I have made morning yoga a part of my daily routine for about 20 years.
There was a yoga boom a while back, centered around Hollywood celebrities.
High-sense yoga books that tickled a girl's fancy and cute workout wear started appearing.
I wanted to jump on this wave and get my body in shape in a stylish and fun way, so I bought a yoga book on Amazon, and that was the start of it all.
This is it.

I, too, intended to buy a book featuring a beautiful person in cool workout wear posing by the seaside.
But when I was about to buy it, I suddenly heard a voice (a hallucination?) saying,
“Discard your weak-minded thoughts. Look to the source of yoga, which has an eternal history!!”
And before I knew it, I had chosen this one.
The book that arrived was 1.5 cm thick and filled with theories written in tiny print.
The photos and illustrations also had a strange, intense personality that felt like it was pressuring me.
When I flipped the cover, there was the smiling face of the editor, the representative of the Sivananda Yoga Centre.

I quietly closed the cover.
How did it come to this...
I intended to do this stylishly and fun, so why...
I even thought about quitting yoga altogether.
However, this book cost me 3,100 yen.
After worrying about it for two days, I finally decided to do yoga using this book.
It was an adult decision to take responsibility for my choice.
However, once I started, this book turned out to be a real jackpot!!
In about a week, my stiff shoulders were gone. I could wake up feeling refreshed in the morning, and I had no headaches. The sluggishness disappeared, and I felt like my body was constantly overflowing with energy.
When my physical condition is good, my mind is also calm...
Since I saw results, I started reading the text parts seriously as well.
Then, I began to see that yoga is a very scientific and theoretical 'discipline'.
It's not just about poses and meditation; it involves breathing techniques, thoughts on diet, and connections to the skeletal structure, internal organs, and circulatory functions. Yoga is something you do with your whole mind and body, in every aspect of life and living.
There is nothing ambiguous in its explanation.
No part of my existence can be missing, and each is equally important.
Tuning the soul means tuning the body, which is the temple that houses it, and vice versa.
I am currently using this book mainly for physical health, but I think it is also an optimal introduction if one wants to pursue it more seriously and deeply.
Well, it's quite... no, actually, it's a little bit eccentric.

My friends and colleagues at work wanted to know the secret to improving their health, so I lent them this book.
However, I have never once heard anyone say, 'I'm going to try yoga too!!'
One of my colleagues was delighted, saying, 'This book is hilarious!', but they started going to a Pilates class instead. It's a shame.
It's wonderful, but I think it's just too eccentric. This book, that is.

However, recently, someone appeared who was intensely hooked on this book.
It's my husband.
He seems more drawn to the appeal of yoga than I am, and he's even started reading books like this.

How far will my husband take his yoga practice...? I've been feeling a sense of responsibility lately.
