Sandalwood is also known as 'byakudan' and is listed in Linnaeus's plant species.

A long time ago, there was a certain perfume I used to wear.

Its last note was sandalwood.

I don't wear that perfume anymore.

But I do think, from what I've heard from others, that it seemed to be one of my defining traits.

Beyond just the scent, it was likely one of the things that shaped me, including my style of dress.

I, who exist in simplicity, have no scent. There is no smell at all.

It is just like the air itself, something akin to a heat haze.
