For nights when you're exhausted but don't know where to go: On the option of a male therapist
The New Year holidays are over, and
the "reality" of daily life has finally begun.
During this period,
some say they were able to "rest well,"
but there are also quite a few who say the opposite.
Being considerate while visiting relatives,
having no time to rest due to family obligations,
or perhaps expecting your husband to help with chores or deep cleaning while he's off,
only to find "...he wasn't as helpful as I thought (laughs)."
A different kind of fatigue from the everyday.
I personally call this
"extraordinary fatigue."
Every year, our shop enters a period where we see an increase in customers
who had planned their visit since the end of the year,
as well as those carrying this "extraordinary fatigue" after the new year begins.
So,
what makes this different from the fatigue we usually feel?
And,
what kind of people open the salon door, and with what feelings?
Actually,
even those who are regular salon users
might not have thought about this much.
Today, I would like to
unravel that a little bit.
Type A:
People who are exhausted but don't know the clear reason why
You have stiff shoulders or a heavy lower back.
But that alone doesn't explain it.
You don't feel refreshed even after sleeping.
For some reason, meeting people makes you even more tired.
Whether it's physical or emotional,
you don't really know yourself,
and you just carry on thinking, "Well, I guess this is how it is."
With this kind of fatigue,
if you try to find the cause,
it actually becomes even more confusing.
However,
being touched, breathing more deeply,
and before you know it,
you feel, "Maybe I feel better than before."
There are surprisingly many people
carrying this kind of "fatigue understood through results."
Type B:
People who know the reason well but haven't told anyone
Work, family, relationships.
The reasons are clear.
However,
it's not quite enough to complain about,
and there's no one to vent to.
"I have to handle this myself."
Thinking that, you carry it through your days.
For people of this type,
a while after the treatment begins,
their lips often relax.
You don't necessarily want to solve anything.
You don't need logical arguments either.
Just
a place where you won't be interrupted,
won't be judged,
and will be listened to until the end.
If you are comfortable with me,
please let me carry half of that burden
by letting you talk about it.
Whether you take it back with you or not
is entirely up to you.

Type C:
"Someone I'm drawn to for no particular reason"
This is the so-called
"drop-in" type.
You can't quite say you're tired.
But you don't want to go straight home tonight.
It's not that you want to see someone,
but spending time alone doesn't feel quite right either.
You don't have to force yourself
to put these feelings into words.
I believe there are days when you just want to drop by,
even without a special reason.
If there was a passage somewhere in this article
that made you think, "Oh, this might be me,"
then perhaps now is the right time.
You don't have to force a decision.
It's fine if your thoughts aren't organized.

Sometimes, just talking
can make you feel a little lighter.
In a quiet room in Hirano Ward, Osaka,
I am waiting for you quietly again today.
There is no need to play a role for anyone.
Please, just be your true self.
