Food tastes so good! ~I was able to return to work~
Ward nurse: I am Natsuko Nichome.
Due to a cervical disc herniation, my right hand suddenly became disabled,
and I spent two weeks recuperating at home.
Today, as planned, I was able to return to work.
I am writing down my honest feelings of how good food tastes.
Please enjoy this relaxed post today as well☕️
I love breakfast.
I love both making it and eating it.
A meal with soup and three side dishes is just right.
Since I want to incorporate as many nutrients as possible,
I have multigrain rice in the morning.
Breakfast is a meal that acts as a cheer
for myself to do my best for the day ahead.
Eat a hearty breakfast in the morning.
As long as I eat a proper breakfast,
I can hold my ground.
Breakfast is especially important on days when I need to persevere.
Stirring the natto round and round
I ate well again today.
Returning to work after two weeks of recovery
is naturally nerve-wracking.
Besides,
the symptoms this time
appeared in my dominant right hand.
It doesn't move the way I want it to.
It feels heavy and sluggish.
I have no strength in it.
I can't say it has improved 100%,
and I didn't even ask if it would improve 100%,
but if it has improved 80%,
it will surely be okay.
It's okay. It's okay. It's okay.
I told myself that as I headed to work.
(I also brought my orthopedic clinic patient card as a good luck charm)
After apologizing for my long absence
and expressing my gratitude,
I set off for my day shift.
To the staff members I worked with
I received some warm words.
Before I knew it, it was lunch break...
"I'm not hungry."
During my recovery, I only took care of my personal needs
and spent the rest of the time relaxing.
To put it more plainly, I was just lounging around.
I had returned to work and was running around,
so why wasn't I hungry? How could this be?
I must have been keeping my guard up.
I didn't even feel thirsty,
didn't go to the bathroom,
and just
tried to regain my "pre-recovery sense of self"
by moving around constantly...
chanting to myself, "It's okay, it's okay, it's okay."
That sounds just like a spell 😂
Even though I wasn't hungry
I ate lunch because it was my lunch break
and headed to my afternoon shift.
Before I knew it
it was time to hand over to the night shift nurses.
I somehow managed to finish the handover
and successfully finished my day shift🙌
As for my right hand, the main concern,
it was fine🙌
As the saying goes, fear is greater than the danger,
you never know how your right hand will be until you try.
It worked properly all day,
so I'm relieved, relieved. What a relief.
After finishing work,
I stopped by my usual supermarket
and bought some 'botamochi' to take home.
Today is the end of the Higan period.
My favorite supermarket is
a store that stocks items
suited for seasonal events.
I was finally able to offer
botamochi to my husband.
"As planned, I was able to return to work."🙏
With this, tomorrow will be fine too.🤗
"Ah, I'm hungry!"
Food after work is delicious!
The botamochi I ate after being released from tension
tasted twice as good🤗 (It goes well with coffee too!)
Is botamochi a meal?
Or is it a sweet?
While thinking about things like that,
I ate the botamochi I had offered,
this is Kobito-chan today.🧚
🧚Today's Tanka
The time is coming when today will end
A sweet lingering taste of one botamochi
