Since I had already paid for a month, I was looking for something else to watch when "Violet Evergarden" kept appearing in my recommendations.
I had heard the name before and I like anime, but I hesitated for a while, not sure if I should watch it. Then I read the synopsis...
Violet Evergarden, a former soldier, finds a job ghostwriting letters. The feelings of various people she encounters through these letters light a gentle flame in the heart of a girl who does not know love.
Reading this made me hesitate even more (lol)

With quite a bit of hesitation, I pressed the play button on the first episode. And by the time I finished the first episode, I was completely a fan of this work.
It's not an anime with flashy action.
There are no adventures, no other worlds, no elves, and no imperial harems.
What it has is beautiful art, music, and the subtle movements of emotions.
It is a quiet story about a girl who keeps thinking of one person, doesn't know the meaning of "I love you," and is clumsy at understanding her own emotions, depicting her heart-to-heart connections with the people around her.
In such a gentle world, before I knew it, I was breathing along with it and standing by Violet's side.
Before I realized it... tears were spilling from my eyes.
I didn't cry because it was sad, but the moment someone's feelings reached me, my tear ducts couldn't hold back anymore and they just burst open (lol)
Netflix's call for reviews said that even just saying "It was really good!" would be fine, but I simply cannot end it with just those words.
But... to everyone involved in bringing such a wonderful work into the world, I want to send a million rounds of applause and say, "It was absolutely wonderful! Thank you very much 👏👏".
