Now, I have established a corporation and am working with both my main job and my social media side hustle.

The reason why I was able to change my life so dramatically is because of

Among social media, X in particular is text-based, so there is no need for video or image editing and processing work like on YouTube or Instagram.

And it can be said to be a very rare medium where the diffusion power through repost and quote repost functions is strong, and you can instantly deliver your posts to many people.

Easily and casually create posts with text and continue to post every day.

2. Revealing Pitaro's journey and achievements candidly

So, I have summarized the journey and achievements of myself, Pitaro, who has been serious about X for the past four years, and I would like to explain it in four seasons.

▼ Phase 1: From information gathering to a hobby account, and then to the creator side

I opened my X (then Twitter) account on December 18, 2020. Originally, it was for the purpose of gathering information because I had started Tsumitate NISA.

After that, I learned from a book that "it is better to output what you have learned," so I diligently posted what I had gathered every day, without directing it at anyone in particular.

Eventually, while seeing many influencers in the money investment community, I began to think,"I wish I could become an account that is useful to someone like this too,"and I moved from being a viewer to a creator.

However...
Reality was not that sweet; even if I posted every day, I received no reaction from anyone, with 0 likes, 0 replies, and 0 reposts. My followers showed no signs of increasing, and I was depressed every day because I hadn't become anything, let alone an influencer. This wasthe most painful period even looking back nowfor me.

▼ Phase 2: First mini-buzz, reaching the long-awaited 10,000 followers

After spending about half a year in such gloomy days, one day, I posted a tweet that I came up with from a certain trigger, and it became a mini-buzz with 2,000 likes!

Once I got the hang of it, I was able to ride the wave well,dashing to 10,000 followers in one go in 10 months,and just then, I learned that there was a paid online salon that taught X operation professionally, so I braced myself and joined, thinking, "I must learn systematically instead of self-study..."

Furthermore, I was able to grow the account to 35,000 followers in the following year.

▼ Phase 3: Abandoning everything and restarting, succeeding in stabilizing revenue

However, at the beginning of 2023, my third year, this momentum plummeted all at once.

I would wake up in the morning and my followers would have decreased. And the next morning too. And the next morning after that... A major factor was that I couldn't ride the wave even though the algorithm had changed significantly.

Moreover, at that time, embarrassingly,despite having a large account, I was in a state where I was barely monetizing.Every day, I tried hard to post, interacted with those around me... But my followers were decreasing. And I wasn't monetizing either.

"What on earth am I doing X for..."
"Maybe I should just quit X altogether..."

I was physically and mentally exhausted, pushed to the brink, and on the verge of quitting.

It was then that I happened to learn about monetization through affiliate marketing. It was a method where business-oriented accounts would promote job change or certification-related affiliate programs to monetize.

With that resolve, I dove into a new world.
I switched my account from my previous money/investment focus to a business focus, and I joined a specialized paid online salon to learn and practice how to promote affiliate links on X.

After a period of study, I began my challenge in earnest, succeeding in making 13 sales in the first month for a monetization total of 18,960 yen. I still remember being alone in a shopping mall when I made my first sale,

and jumping up and down while shouting out loud.

The following month it was 70,910 yen. After that, it became 252,425 yen, 440,990 yen, 711,590 yen, and 736,270 yen, and seven months after starting, I broke through my long-held goal of 1 million yen in monthly sales with 1,586,750 yen!

By the way, my followers also increased steadily in step with my monetization success. After a major struggle at the beginning of the year, I gradually recovered and was able to gain 12,000 followers in this one year.

Also, although it's embarrassing to admit, I had never experienced a 'ten-thousand buzz' (viral post) until then, but in June of that year, I achieved my first ten-thousand buzz! After that, once I grasped the tips and rules of going viral, I was able to post a ten-thousand buzz almost every month, totaling 8 viral posts in six months.

▼ Phase 4: Explosive follower growth period, reaching 100,000 accounts at once

While I was increasing my followers as a business account and monetizing through affiliate marketing, both were in a precarious situation in terms of differentiation from other accounts.

Borrowing the wisdom of predecessors and taking the same actions to get results.
Of course, this is the theory, but if I continued like this, I would eventually shrink...

"I have to do something with my own originality..."

So, I decided to start posting from a different angle than the job-hunting tips and business hacks that the surrounding business accounts had been posting until then. This was in the winter of 2023.

Then, to my surprise, the very first one went viral!?!?

"This is it!" I realized, and I spent a year repeating the same method.
In 2024, my followers increased by 52,000 at once, breaking through the dream of 100,000 followers! I was also able to post 39 viral posts in one year!

Therefore, the realistic "correctness" that suits a person cannot be understood through self-study.

I don't deny the practice of buying information online or books and trying to operate by imitation, but I think it is likely that once you reach a certain stage, it will be difficult to grow further than that.

In operating X, the necessary elements are "account design," "post strategy," and "interaction strategy."

If even one of these is missing, you cannot successfully increase impressions, gain engagement, or grow your followers.

Nevertheless, many accounts fail because they obsess over only one of these or leave each of them half-baked.

When people hear "account design," they tend to focus on tidying up their header, icon, account name, title, profile text, and pinned post, but this is merely a secondary element.

The most important thing is to repeatedly verify and refine where you place your focus, what differentiates you from others, and whether there is a need for your content.

This is the crux of the matter; those who have it firmly established grow smoothly, while those who don't struggle significantly.

And once this account design is decided, the "post strategy" and "interaction strategy," which are your actual daily actions, become clear.

Post strategy refers to planning and logically designing your content, how you post (the format), posting frequency, and time slots.

What kind of post content should you post from your account, using what expression methods, and how many times a day? This varies completely from person to person, so it cannot be expressed by a single number.

Also, interaction strategy refers to thinking through what is rational and optimal for conducting two-way communication with followers.
