My Experience with V-Beam
I had intended to update this twice a week, but the days have just flown by so busily that it has been a while since my last note update. I am very sorry about that.
Well, today is about cosmetic procedures. I am not sure if V-Beam technically counts as a cosmetic procedure, but I will write about my V-Beam experience, complete with photos.
○ What is V-Beam?
According to the great AI master... it is a medical device that uses a laser that reacts to hemoglobin, the red pigment, to improve skin redness such as facial flushing, acne scars, and various types of birthmarks (covered by insurance).
In other words,
the laser reacts to the red areas of the skin and destroys the blood vessels 💥, that is what it does.
I have had a red birthmark (hemangioma) under my nose since I was born.
Yes, here it is. Sorry for the eyesore.
Sorry that the photos are not of the same color tone.

Can you tell? That there is a redness like a red birthmark under my nose. I am wearing makeup in both photos.
Since I was born with it, I did not really worry about it. Sometimes friends would ask, "Did you blow your nose too much?"
As I became an adult and started wearing makeup properly, I vaguely started to think that if this redness were not there, my lipstick color would look even better. I tried using a yellow concealer, which is supposed to be good for redness, but it did not hide it well. That is when I looked it up and found out about V-Beam.
After seeing a case study of someone with the same red birthmark (hemangioma) as me, I thought it might be cured in about 5 sessions, so I decided to go ahead with the procedure.
First, I had an initial consultation, and the area of my red birthmark (hemangioma) was about 3cm. Insurance coverage was available for the procedure. (Because it was a birthmark, not for cosmetic purposes.) The cost was about 9,000 yen.
🎀 Looking back from here along with the progress 🎀
February 2025 1st session
At first, I was afraid of the pain, so I had it done at a low intensity. Therefore, it had no effect. (It was still painful, though 😹)
Insurance coverage means the next session is 3 months later.
By the way, I was told that as long as I am careful about sunburn, wearing makeup is fine. It does get dry, so moisturizing is essential. I did not soak in the bathtub and just took showers.
May 2025 2nd session
I asked for a higher intensity, and I was teary-eyed without incident 😹😹😹 The laser feels like a piercing pain, but it is bearable.

I had high expectations this time, thinking it would be effective.
The redness went away in about 1 week.
September 2025 3rd session
Sorry it is dark.

Perhaps because the redness has decreased, the area of internal bleeding is smaller than last time.

The purple tint of the internal bleeding disappeared, and the redness became more vivid.

The redness has subsided quite a bit!

December 2025 4th session
I am still a little concerned about it, so I went and had it done.

The dryness is terrible, isn't it? 🥹 I didn't request a specific doctor, so I've had a different one each time, but this time was intense. I was asked, "Is it okay to treat this area too?" and after getting it done, the results were incredible 😹 Because it's a dry season, it took about two weeks for the redness to disappear completely. Also, it was extremely itchy and painful 🥹🥹🥹

So happy, yay ♡
I'll post the before and after of the V-Beam treatment😽

Finally, I truly feel that getting the V-Beam treatment was a great decision. Above all, my bare skin looks better, I'm happy to look in the mirror, and putting on makeup has become even more fun than before—there are so many happy things that came from it 😽😽😽 I hope this note is helpful to anyone who reads it. Thank you for reading until the end.
