700 Articles: Sitemap Updated

Thanks to your support, I have managed to write 700 articles in about three years since I started on note. I have updated the portal site.

As of August 31, 2025, I am posting the summary of my progress up to 700 articles today.

There are 13 free magazines.
I have compiled the characteristics of each and compared them using graphs.

Number of Posts by Magazine

The 'Talks About Investment' magazine has the most, with 116 articles. It seems the number of posts is high because I hold study sessions on money and post the lecture materials and texts.

I think it was also easier to turn the concerns of those I consulted with into articles, as I used to accept consultations as a financial planner.

Average Character Count by Magazine

I have heard that once it exceeds 2,000 characters, it feels long to read, so I try to keep it under 2,000 characters as much as possible.

When I first started writing on note, even 1,000 characters was difficult, but now I have changed to writing about 3,000 characters and then trimming away the unnecessary parts.

Average Views by Magazine

This data is interesting. Since I write on note as a way of publishing my personal diary, I don't write to be read by others. That said, I am very happy when people do read it.

The 'With Acoustic Guitar' magazine has the most views. Articles featuring chord charts are read the most. In particular, the chord charts I transcribed myself for new songs by Southern All Stars and Aimyon before their release had very high view counts.

When Southern or Aimyon are in the title, it gathers many views. However, for Stardust Revue, the view count does not increase. It seems to be simply proportional to the number of fans the artist has.

Average Likes by Magazine

I always pay attention to the number of likes. This is because views don't tell you if someone actually read the content, and they are counted just by being displayed.

Unlike views, the number of likes represents an intentional click. While a single person can count toward multiple views, a like is only counted once per person.

Therefore, since my 'Stories About Life' magazine discusses the essence of humanity and truth from a philosophical perspective, I feel very happy whenever a like is pressed.

Trends in Number of Posts by Month and Magazine

I am writing across my 13 magazines evenly, without being biased toward any particular one. I don't start writing with a specific magazine in mind; I categorize the posts after I finish writing them.

Looking at the data, I thought that perhaps this trend exists because I am interested in many things shallowly and broadly, rather than pursuing one thing deeply.

In the 'Stories About Life' magazine, I mainly write about my second life. I include promotions for my book, 'The Fear of Quitting a Corporate Job and the Happiness Found After Overcoming It.' I don't write with the intention of promoting it from the start; rather, once I finish writing, if the content allows for it, I often include a link.

Since I don't use social media, this note is my only promotional medium, so I write topics that connect to the content of my book. Thanks to everyone, it remains a bestseller, and as a fundraiser, I feel joy in being able to donate all of my royalties every month.

Trends in Number of Followers

Thanks to everyone, I have reached 805 followers (as of September 14, 2025). To everyone who has become a follower, thank you very much. I am truly grateful. The reason the number doesn't suddenly increase or decrease is likely because I consistently post about 15 articles every month.

I lose about 10-15 followers every month. Since I don't follow back out of obligation, people who just want to increase their follower count without reading my articles likely leave.

The 805 followers I have are people who choose to follow Mako-san's note, so I am truly happy about that.

Since my monthly views are currently around 15,000, that averages to 500 views per day. Given that more than half of my 805 followers are viewing my content, I believe I have a very active follower base.

Cumulative Number of Views

Generally, the number of views increases as the number of posts increases. It is an easy metric to track because if there is a one-week gap in posting due to travel or other reasons, the number of views drops. I try to post every 2-3 days so that the graph remains stable.

For the first year of starting note, I posted every day, but my monthly views were only about 5,000. In the last year, I reduced my posting frequency to every 2-3 days, but my monthly views have actually increased to 10,000-15,000.

I interpret this as an increase in followers and a growth in core fans who read the same articles multiple times.

Mechanisms for Continuing Note Posts

From time to time, I receive badges like this from note. They are helpful for maintaining motivation to keep going.

This badge is for achieving 36 consecutive months of posting. That's three years. Since I started on October 1, 2022, it has been exactly three years, or 36 months.

The fact that I have been able to continue for this long is thanks to all of you who read my work. I am especially supported by comments on my note articles from specific individuals, direct inquiries to me as a creator, and praise or constructive criticism regarding the content of my articles sent by real-life friends via LINE or Messenger.

I intend to keep writing as long as it doesn't become a source of stress, so I appreciate your continued support.

Deliverables from continuing to write on note

I am currently preparing for the release of an English-translated book. I am working with a translator to make it available for international readers as well.
