We are starting mp
Mother, mom, mommy. There are many names and many 'images of a mother,' but why not just decide for yourself and be a mother however you like? We are a trio who have started something called 'mp' to shout that message out loud with a laugh.
Who are the three of us?
What do the three of us have in common?
Our ages are different, and our children's ages are different.
The only things the three of us have in common are:
・We are 'mothers who are also working'
・We have experienced a traffic jam of 'things we must do'—childcare, work, and housework—and 'things we want to do'—I want to do this for myself! I want to learn that! I want to go there!—leaving us stuck and unable to move.
・We have all had experiences where we stopped in our tracks and felt at a loss.
We are three people who have been swayed by the 'ideal mother image' we created in our own minds, and even now, while juggling various roles, we are 'swimming with all our might through an ocean that changes every day.'
That is who we are.
What is mp?
It is not PM for afternoon, nor is it PM for project manager.
The letters m and p that we have put forward represent:
m for mother | my
p for purpose
This is what they stand for.
In other words, these two letters, m and p, contain the meaning of a mother's purpose and my own purpose.
At the same time, beyond 'm as a mother' and 'm as myself,' we have incorporated a wide range of meanings and intentions into the letter m, such as mature and Meister. Furthermore, while 'purpose' is a word used in various contexts recently, such as 'purpose-driven management' or 'life purpose,' we intend to use this word not as a vision or goal, but in the sense of 'the reason or purpose for being.'
It is so soft that we cannot immediately answer what mp is, yet it certainly exists. We would like to use these mysterious two letters |
mp| like a project name or a team name.
What do we want to share?
The message that the three of us want to convey when we come together is
Instead of using the high-impact role of being a mother as a badge of authority or a weapon, and instead of becoming a victim of circumstances,why not live while going through trial and error toward the 'way you want to be' that you decided for yourself! It's okay to ask for help when you want to! Long live all the different ways of living!!
To share such things in various ways while laughing heartily, we plan to gather with mothers here and there, have conversations, hold workshops, and do something or other.
What kind of things will you do?
The common ground in our work as a trio is "coaching," "human resource development," "organizational development," and "team building," but our individual strengths also include "card reading," "metal engraving," "crafting," and "history," and we specialize in empowering and supporting people through various methods. Since our main business involves creating spaces through workshops, events, and training, we will use that wisdom and leverage the energy bubbling up from the three of us to take on new challenges.
