I took some photos while sewing buttons onto the white Oshima Tsumugi remake coat I made the other day, so I'll share them here☺️

Flower-shaped shell buttons.
They were so cute💕 that I had bought them and kept them in stock🌸

Cute shell buttons🌸
Without making a knot,
insert the needle through the fabric, passing through the button holes in a cross shape
Pass the thread through the button holes and the fabric three times (while leaving some slack for the thread shank)
Wrap the thread around the shank 4 to 5 times
and pull it tight at the end
Pass the thread to the back, make a knot,
and run the needle and thread🪡 through the fabric before cutting it with scissors✂️
All done☺️

I wonder if I learned this method at sewing school when I was young? ...🤔 I've forgotten... but
after making clothes for a long time, I've settled on this method♪

Since I make a large number of items, I currently use the method that I think is the best. I believe it's best to do things in the way you feel is the best way yourself☺️

After all, there is no single right answer🤭

I hope this is helpful♪
