A chance encounter with a Japanese-made wood watch ⌚

I used to only wear my favorite watches from American brands. About 10 years ago, I learned about wooden watches and wanted one, but back then they were only sold online, so I never saw one in person. Japanese-made ones started at around 25,000 yen, with intricate designs at 50,000 yen and high-end models over 100,000 yen.
Chinese-made ones are cheap, but I didn't have a good impression of them (;^_^A

I didn't buy one because I was worried it would be disappointing to spend over 25,000 yen on something bought online without seeing it. A few years later, a Japanese wooden watch manufacturer contacted me asking, 'Are you interested?' (in selling them).

Our shop had never sold watches before, and since many people check the time on their smartphones and don't wear watches, and I assumed they would cost over 25,000 yen, I intended to decline, but I decided to have them send me the materials anyway.
The manufacturer found out about our shop because a customer living in Gunma Prefecture who buys their products online told them, 'I want to be able to pick up and choose the products in person,' and recommended our shop.

When I looked at the materials I received, they were starting from 5,400 yen at the time, and I wondered, 'Is this really made in Japan?'
I even doubted if it was okay (lol).
Currently, popular models are around 9,500 to 14,000 yen.

I tried stocking 10 of them, and I became a total fan (;^_^A
They are a third of the weight of metal watches, and the comfort is completely different; they have now become an essential item for me ⌚
I wear them like a bracelet or accessory!

I don't see many people around me wearing wood watches, so I often get compliments!
'That's so stylish!' 'I didn't know wooden watches existed!'
It's important to have fashion that doesn't overlap with others~
