One-Character Diary in Red Minerva
One-Kanji Character Diary
Since October, I have been using an unused monthly refill to keep a one-kanji character diary.
Because it is just one character, it is easy to do, and it is also easy to look back on later. It feels nice that this is something I can do because Japanese uses kanji. In the end, I cannot write it in just one kanji, so it has become one sentence, but I mainly record a kanji that represents the day.
In October, it was modest as shown below, and

in November, the kanji became larger.

Right now, I am just thinking of a random character and writing a quick sentence to finish, but I am thinking it might be good to set a theme (maybe I could narrow it down to one thing, like the seasons, my clothes, work, spending money, or the scenery of Tokyo?).
About the binder
The planner I am using is the Brelio x KAKU Minerva Box M5 Square (the color is Poppy, a bright red).

I am finally using the Brelio M5 Square. The difference between this and the PLOTTER is not just the leather, but the fact that the ring diameter is 16mm, as well as the overall size.

Thinking that M6 Square refills might fit, I temporarily covered the six holes of an M6 Square refill (Yohaku) with masking tape, then punched five holes again to bind it.

It is just barely sticking out...? No, you could say it is not sticking out at all, so it fits well enough (see the photo below), and I gave it the go-ahead.

About the paper
The reason I really wanted to use the M6 square refill (Yohaku) is because the paper is good, I like how it feels to write on, and the fountain pen ink colors look beautiful on it.
I wanted to know what kind of paper this was, so I followed up and found this on Instagram:
“This time, I used the same paper as the color refills.
Since it is a crisp, firm paper,
even if you write in your schedule and flip through the pages,
I don't think there will be any issues with its durability.”
That is what it said, so I went to the color refill page, but I couldn't find the name of the paper. I vaguely hope to find out if I ever get the chance to ask during an event.

The fountain pen I use for my one-character diary has settled on the PILOT Custom 742 with a Falcon nib. When I first bought this fountain pen, I struggled because I wasn't used to how it wrote, but lately, writing with it has become a pleasure✨
