Short Story | Suberi Technical College

There are two ways to study.

The method of learning by building up one step at a time, like how elementary and junior high school students learn arithmetic and mathematics.
The other method is to pursue a single theme and acquire the knowledge and skills associated with it.

At 'Suberi High School,' founded last year, students learn all about 'slipping' (suberi).

First period. Principles of Gag-Slipping Studies.

Regarding jokes that fell flat, students learn about their historical background and the causes of the failure from the perspective of failure studies.

Second period.

Physical Education (Lotion Hill Climbing, Slides)

Students learn how to walk safely even when naked and covered in lotion, and master how to slide down a slide safely even when gaining momentum.

Third period.
Physics (Friction Coefficients and Slipping.)

Students examine the 'sensation of slipping' experienced in the second period from a physical perspective.
The science of the theory and practice of friction coefficients.

Fourth period. Psychology
Students learn how to recover their mental state when they fail (slip) their university entrance exams.

Basically, they learn how to deal with failing an entrance exam.
It is said that most graduates acquire a mentality where they do not care at all about failing.

Although this school is a preparatory school, no learning for the purpose of passing university entrance exams is conducted at all.
They say they value the philosophy of deeply learning that failure is an inherent part of life. The school culture is such that success is considered unimportant.
