[Introduction of 3 Exhibited Works] Tsukinokohara Exhibition "Smooth Unraveling"

Tsukinokohara Exhibition "Smooth Unraveling" will be held at Picaresque Gallery from Wednesday, September 10, 2025, to Sunday, September 21, 2025.
This time, we asked Tsukinokohara about the three works that will be displayed at the exhibition. Please take a look.
From the Artist: On the Occasion of the Exhibition
While observing the subtleties of the heart, I arrived at the soft and pale expression of colored pencils.
I trapped the events beyond the unraveling in colorful distortions.
I hope you can forget where you are and enjoy the world of my works.
Could you tell us the concept behind the works you are exhibiting?
Anxiety

This is a work where I created a new form using sanded plastic plates.
After shrinking them, I felt a somewhat mysterious and unapproachable atmosphere in the picture on the other side of the cloudiness.
The title "Anxiety" comes from her cloudy expression.
I depicted the sensation of the details of my own worries and anxieties piling up, causing my vision to blur until I lose track of what emotions I was feeling.
Front and Back (Phenomena with a Spoon)

I noticed that the world reflected in the front and back of a spoon is inverted, so I turned it into a painting.
Not just spoons, but landscapes reflected in plastic bottles and glass reveal a clear, unclouded world, and there is a sensation of being sucked in when you stare at them. Kikitte has two forms—a human-like figure and one covered in cloth—and this painting explores the idea that my own form might also change in the reflected world.
memo1

Although it is a plastic plate, this work is modeled after a scrap of a memo pad.
What is written on the memo is a mix of images of Kikitte and draft ideas for the title of my previous exhibition, "Wrapped in the Light on the Sheets." I thought it would be interesting to turn the passage of time and the process of developing ideas for the exhibition into a work of art, and this form was born.

I draw Kikitte, a girl wrapped in cloth.
I mainly use plastic plates, but I also express myself through various other supports.
